My partner and I booked a weekend at Cotswolds Hotel & Spa through Expedia, specifically selecting it as a spa hotel. We were incredibly disappointed to find out there were no swimming pool, jacuzzi, or wet room facilities. This was misleading, and we felt like we wasted our money and a much-anticipated weekend, as we were really looking forward to enjoying spa amenities together.
To make matters worse, the rooms were not soundproof at all. We were constantly disturbed by noise from neighboring rooms, which disrupted our sleep and ruined any chance of a relaxing Sunday morning. For the premium prices charged, we expected a much better experience.
Additionally, the hotel could improve on several fronts:
1. Entrance Lighting: There was no lighting outside, making it difficult to find the entrance in the dark.
2. Breakfast Service: The breakfast trays were often empty, with long waits for refills, which was frustrating.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay that did not live up to expectations. Definitely not worth the cost if you're looking for a true spa experience.
