The shower seals were not good. This causes excess water to get in the floor which caused us to use our towels to mop the floor. We were in building 10 room 5191. Otherwise the stay was nice.

We stayed at kingsmill for a girls getaway and it was absolutely perfect! They made our weekend so nice even by accommodating our special request of having hotel robes in our closet waiting for us and then being punctual with things we accidentally forgot to pack. We will definitely be back for another stay soon!

We visited Kingsmill Resort to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday. From pre check in to check out, Kingsmill stayed in contact with us and answered any questions we had. Our experience was so nice, that we were disappointed we couldn’t stay a few days longer. The resort is lovely, very clean, and quiet. The location was perfect and view from our room was absolutely amazing! The entire staff was so friendly and extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to make our visit as enjoyable and memorable as possible. We definitely plan on returning one day soon.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean, but we were there for 4 nights and housekeeping never came. We had to empty the trash into the dumpster outside. We called to get fresh towels and coffee and they did deliver within 30 minutes, but they didn't take the used towels. The faucet in the bathroom was broken and leaking from the bottom, and there was mold on the wall under the sink. Someone "fixed" the faucet when we brought it to their attention, but left caulk all over the sink and didn't clean up the mess. I'm not sure if they are having staffing issues, but general expectations for a high end resort were not met. We still enjoyed our visit, but were disappointed by the lack of general housekeeping and maintenance.

Quiet Oasis Away From Home
Check in was easy and friendly. We were greeted enthusiastically. Property waa extremely clean and maintained. I liked that it had secure access into the property. Our room was smaller than au expected but it wasn't a deal breaker. I'll just get a different room next time. Bed was extremely comfortable. Very quiet property. Amenities were great. The TV and phone in the room were non-functional, and the toilet continuously backed up. There was no plumber available in the room to use to unstop the toilet. Even basic use caused the toilet to overflow.

Wonderful
Every day of my family travels to Kingsmill in every year and gets better and better last year. The gym was being renovated when I traveled there this year it was complete. It’s absolutely phenomenal. Kingsmill service is outstanding. We had a condo and enjoyed it very much. We could tell that the condos were built some time ago, however. They are showing their age and some of the kitchen amenities were rather old fashioned. We enjoyed The Mill. It was convenient and well stocked with many yummy provisions. The restaurant near the proshop was very good and we had 2 good meals there. The restaurant at the marina was not so good. They closed early on the night we arrived because of lack of business so we had to go to the one next to the proshop thank goodness!. The meal that we did have at the one at the marina 2 nights later was not good, Oysters on the half shell were warm and slimmy. The fried calamari was good, but the crab cake was poorly done. The shrimp tacos were OK. The bar staff at both restaurants were outstanding. We played the River Course on Friday afternoon, 10/4. Excellent layout, but maintenance left a lot to be desired. The staff in the Proshop were not helpful. KingsMill is a beautiful property. Getting back to basics should be a high priority.
