Staff was incredibly friendly despite checking in after midnight. Room was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was provided and convenient. Good location close to Rock City. Would book again if coming back to the area.

We got this hotel on our way back from PCB as about a half way point. It was cheap but not cheap enough for what you pay. The front desk staff was rude at check in. The bathroom was okay but just gave an ick feeling from an old stained up cloth curtain and some rust around the bars in the shower. The bed was okay but there was like a mattress pad under it that kept getting bunched up all night which was annoying. The AC was cool. The pool was clean and nice to dip into and cool off and they didn’t seem to care about the actual closing time which was nice. In the morning there was kids screaming and running up and down the halls so that wasn’t fun to wake up to. $20 plus tax pet fee at check in. I didn’t have to pay a deposit for the hotel though. I mean maybe a cheaper price and it would be worth it but would not recommend and if we stop again then we will find somewhere else to stay.

Hall carpets were filthy. Wood floors in room needed mopping. Electrical plug not working for fridge. Toilet very low., not accommodating for handicapped. Chipped paint everywhere on wood trim.. especially in hallways.

I booked this hotel for 1 night on my way home from vacation. I booked it because it had a pool & it was right off my route home. It appears they have started updates; lobby & breakfast area was new, beds were new, however, the rest of the hotel was disgusting. Carpet was threadbare and filthy looking. Chipped paint, scraped up walls, etc. The smoke detector on my room was hanging out of the wall, no clue if it worked. The curtain was not attached on the last clip, so it didn't close all the way (parking lot lights shown in all night). The bathroom had peeled up & dirty grout/seals. Clearly this was a hotel that allowed smoking, as the room had an old smoke smell. Breakfast was minimal & mediocre.

The bed was good to sleep in (king size). The bathroom sink was higher than normal, but good. The shower was good once you figured out how to adjust temperature. Really didn't like being skipped from a housekeeping visit. But staff quite responsive on getting new towels. Loaned us a temp phone charger.

We were staying with several other families for a softball tournament and at check in, one of the other families found what looked like a bed bug under their bed cover. I sent the picture to a friend who’s an entomologist who confirmed that it was either a bed bug or bat bug and strongly recommended that we not stay there. We ended up losing our first night’s room charge. Only the family that discovered the bug were given a full refund.
