Nice location, we stayed for a night after a wedding at Newton Hall. Really nice breakfast and friendly staff, would definitely stay again.

Really nice food and staff. Room comfy but not very pleasant black mould on bathroom ceiling and bedroom needed a mirror. Nice friendly atmosphere in bar and dining room. We had one evening meal there and it was excellent.

Good overnight stay.
The check in was a little worrying as they had another couple with the same surname staying and it looked as if we did not have a room. However once it was sorted the room was comfortable (a bed was brought in for my son as requested) which made the room a bit tight to walk round but we obviously needed it!

The Pack Horse at Ellingham
This little gem is absolutely delightful, the pub is cosy, the staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic and the location couldn’t be better for sightseeing the lovely unspoilt coast and castles. We stayed in the cottage and were really impressed with the comfort and cleanliness. If you book to stay at the Pack Horse you will not be disappointed. We highly recommend it!

Excellent stay at Ellingham
This was a wonderful surprise - an excellent restaurant with great food and a small but well stocked bar. Delicious food and drink and a comfortable en-suite room, clean and tidy. Helpful staff though a little overworked in the evening as this is clearly a well-known and well patronised establishment locally. A great location for trips to the wonderful Northumberland coast nearby.Highly recommended. Note that your site places the packhorse inn at Chathill but it is in fact at nearby Ellingham.
