The houses are across from the Chassell Centennial Park at Pike Bay, a sheltered cove off the South end of Portage Lake. The park has a boat launch and fishing pier.
Located on Hwy 41, the Chassell Houses are easy to find. There is easy access and parking for trailers. In summer, parking is at the back door entrance. In winter, parking is on the side lawn and a plow service clears the snow from the parking area.
The fully equipped kitchen has what you need to prepare meals and dine-in. There is a convention oven/microwave, gas stove, frig with ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, and toaster. The dining table seats four.
The house has WiFi internet and Alexa is there too to keep you connected.
The house has 2 bedrooms upstairs. One has a queen sized bed, the other has a full sized bed. Both rooms have ceiling fans. All of the beds are made up with cozy cotton flannel sheets and cotton comforters. The bedding contains no wool or feathers. The pillows are polyester-filled. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the larger bedroom.
The house has a full bathroom with tub/shower. Towels, bath mat, toilet tissue, and basic soaps are provided. The house has new forced air furnace and boiler for hot water.
