I appreciated that the cost was within our last minute budget. However, the room had a rough smell coming from the air and heating unit. It smelled like it probably needed the filter desperately changed. The bathroom also had an off smell to it, and we weren't sure what was causing that. The bathroom could use an overall deep clean, rather than the once-over that it gets between guests. There is also water damage on the ceiling, which is apparent with the black stain near the window and the damage in the far corner. Some of the furniture appeared to have what looked like paint on it, and the mini fridge did not work. The shower curtain also had rips in it at the top. Barring the issues above, the staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service.

It was way overpriced and the pictures make it look a lot nicer than what it really is. Check-in is at three but it does say you can check in early if the room is available so we attempted to check in at 2:00 and she said that the rooms had not been cleaned yet I had to come back at 3:00, the front desk staff was not very friendly and the hotel is pretty worn down, it wouldn’t have been so bad if it hadn’t been so expensive. Way overpriced for what you get.

Although the staff was very friendly, the condition of the room was horrible. It was truly disgusting (Carpet had numerous stains in addition to the bathroom being dirty and moldy). The room and hallways smelled like weed the whole time we were there. Traveling with 2 small children, this is something that concerned us but unfortunately, even after reaching out to Expedia within 10 min of arriving to all of this and them contacting the hotel directly, nothing could be done. Lesson learned, and we will not be choosing BWP again.

The carpets were worn, the bed was lumpy, ac was too noisy for my liking but usual to this type of property, breakfast was great and having the specialized coffee machine in the lobby was great, made hot chocolate, lattes etc all day/night….it is an expensive Uber ride into charlotte as well, so the location was not the best for our needs if you didn’t have a car.
