Go back in time over 200 years to this beautifully restored log cabin, on 140 wooded acres near Lake Norman. The massive timber beams and fresh chinking, and tin roof, are all restored to original by expert craftsman, Terry Thrift. Rockers built by North Carolina craftsmen sit on the front porch, and as you pass through the entrance, the refurbished living space and kitchen are all made of materials resourced right there on the property in the style of the period.
There are modern amenities such as a microwave oven, hot plate, mini-fridge, stainless sink, and a full bath. A queen bed down, and two single beds in the sleeping loft, accommodate 4 guests.
Lots to do with a marina with boat rentals or launch your own a half mile down the to the East. You can also hike the 140 acre property and see lots of wildlife, or fish the 2 acre private pond, well stocked with largemouth bass and bream. The one thing that's hard to do is remember the cares of modern life, as you're surrounded by a natural sanctuary, and centuries-old surroundings with the preferred modern comforts.
Your time capsule awaits!
