About this space
Enjoy a relaxing stay at this cosy but spacious beautifully presented centrally located cottage in Castle Douglas.
Just a few minutes walk into the regions 'food town' The Pink House is a great base for exploring all our beautiful region has to offer.
Traditionally decorated to give a real Scottish country cottage feel, the cottage is perfectly located for walkers and cyclists as well as those looking for a quiet break but like to be near local amenities.
The space
GROUND FLOOR
Sitting Room:- The cottage has a warm and welcoming sitting room complete with feature fire, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening, family games night or a night in front of the TV after a long day exploring everything the surrounding area has to offer.
Kitchen & Dining Area:- The fully equipped kitchen is great for meal preparation and with the adjacent dining area, meal times can be a great social event!
Boot Room:- There is a small 'boot room' next to the main door with wall mounted heater for drying wet coats and boots (we get more sunny days here in Scotland than you may think but there's always a risk of a touch of the famous Scottish drizzle)!
Cloakroom:- Also located downstairs is a cloakroom with WC and basin for convenience.
FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom 1:- A large, spacious room beautifully decorated in soothing tones, there is both a comfortable double and single bed. Multiple storage options mean there is plenty of room for personal belongings.
Bedroom 2:- A charming bedroom with traditional style double bed and super comfortable mattress ensuring a great night sleep!
Bedroom 3:- Perfect for little ones, a bunk bed will mean they quickly adopt this room as their own and will love sleeping in their special place!
Bathroom:- Bright and light with both a full size bath and over bath shower, the perfect space for a relaxing soak after a busy day of activities.
OUTSIDE SPACE:-
There is a small courtyard garden to the rear of the property which is ideal for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
To the side of the property is a bike storage shed for guest use.
There is parking directly outside the property with additional parking across the road.
THE AREA
The cottage is ideally located as a base to explore all that the stunning region of Dumfries & Galloway has to offer.
All the local amenities are within easy walking distance, Castle Douglas itself is known for it's independent shops, restaurants and cafes, also know as the regions 'food town' you will often find bustling farmers and food markets selling fresh local produce.
There is a stunning local park with lake for daily strolls or for those who enjoy hiking and cycling the town is surrounded by outstanding countryside with various walking trails and cycling routes.
A short 15 minute drive away is the harbour town of Kirkcudbright, the regions 'artists town' again sports independent shops, galleries and restaurants.
