Yes we enjoyed our stay, but….
The property itself is very nicely renovated and has a high quality touch and feel. Castino is nicely located to explore the Langhe. However, after renting holiday properties for almost 15 years we dare say that this one has let us down in several aspects. First and foremost it is not equipped sufficiently to serve 4 adults leave alone the 8 advertised. I.e. we only found a 2 cup Bialetti Mokka maker and a 4 cup filter coffee maker in the entire house; there were only 4 big coffee mugs for all of us. The house offers a nice north est faces terrace which is well located to provide some shadow. However, besides 2 lounge chairs and a 2-seater sofa there was nothing to sit on. Yes. There was a dining table with 6 chairs but who wants to sit on a chair all day long. The request to supply at least 2 ly flat beds to be able to relax was ignored by the owner. They did however supply after one week a bigger Mokka maker and more cups. In general the house is of high quality but lacks atmosphere due to ist thin furnishing and complete lack of greenery (no pots on the terrace, only 3 plants in the fore garden and two plastic plants besides the entrance). In essence we would not rent it again, in particular at this price level.
