This hotel had potential but it did not uphold the expectations I had based on the reviews I seen. I travel quite a bit and am not someone who complains but I am not satisfied whatsoever with my stay. The hotel itself is decent and the rooftop pool is beautiful. What was awful was my group and I were basically begging them to clean our room which they did days later. When we asked we were told yeah yeah and it would never be done. Towels were never replaced either which I’ve never experienced when staying anywhere, constantly asking for our rooms to be cleaned and towels to be changed. Our sheets were also dirty as well. it was very frustrating. We were also told we had to pay to have our rooms cleaned everyday which is ridiculous. I also was frustrated with the fact we were told we had to pay to have our own drinks at the pool or we had to buy their items, I don’t know if the bartender was trying to get one over on us or not because the next day I seen a group with a whole cooler of items and was not told anything. The Wi-Fi in my room also did not work whatsoever so we had to use our cellular data. Overall the experience was uncomfortable and I wouldn’t recommend it. Again coming from someone who isn’t super particular this is sad.

PROS: Beautiful beach front location. The sunset view from the rooftop is beautiful. Downstairs cafe is a plus. Large spacious rooms with comfortable beds. EXCELLENT service from Ricardo "Richard" at the rooftop bar! The famous Cartagena sign is right across. CONS: LOUSY SERVICE from the front desk staff. They are disengaged and uninterested to service guests. Dirty Rooms and air conditioning hardly works (they do not turn on the AC split unit upon your room arrival so the room is extremely hot for at least a day) Be ready for a lot of street noise if you are a light sleeper, this is NOT the place for you. We were on the 3rd floor and upon checking we asked if they can switch us to a higher floor and switch our room and the girl at the front desk told us immediately no without even checking. After several attempts and us getting irritated and lied to by several front desk staffs they would look into this, the girl at the reception told us we had to pay extra to move us to another room. Such a shame because we paid extra for beachfront in the first place. The beach across the place is dirty and the full of Cartagena famous pushy vendors and be aware at night with the party buses passing and stopping by the Cartagena sign that go up until late hours of the night.

Fantastic accommodations… beautiful rooftop pool and fabulous cafe. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Quick Uber ride to town and very inexpensive. The only thing missing is snacks and something light to eat during the day. Room had a refrigerator and stove plus air fryer but who wants to plan like that on vacation.

The employees were very kind and helpful, especially if you do not speak Spanish! The location is excellent overlooking the ocean! The walled city is 5 minutes driving in one direction and the airport is 5 minutes in the other. The only negative was that my room was very cold and drab! Walls and floors are cement! Aside from that I would consider staying there again!

The place is good except for the ants that will come into your room and bite you! Also don’t go out on the veranda because them plants stick you with something that makes you itch like there is no tomorrow the beach is right across the hotel perfect location security tight at night! I Didn’t like the part that I had to pay100$ per guests after 10pm hey I guess it’s their policy! Other than that the place is great! Also the shower don’t have hot steaming water! The cleaner lady didn’t forget to clean my room one night and you the other I had to remind them but their nice folks hands down

I enjoyed my stay. I love the crew in the cafe downstairs and those guys in the pool were wonderful. The pool is very shallow and small but they are working on the second one but overall very peaceful rooftop. The cleaning ladies do not come during your visit you had to request them. I think we requested three days in a row and they did not come until the day before we left after being there a week. Also many employees do not speak English so try to practice how to order food and drinks and simple requests. But the room itself was an apartment. Two bedrooms two bathrooms balcony full refrigerator living room was stunning!!! Even came with a ice maker and an air fryer. If I come back to Cartagena this is the only hotel I would stay but realize you should bring cleaning supplies. The security guards are amazing and REALLY help us feel out the neighborhood.
