Wonderful historic building, beautifully decorated with some quirky features reminiscent of past use. Great staff, very relaxed and attentive to guests. Food was divine and spa was peaceful, rejuvenated and tranquil. All just fabulous!

Beautiful property and surrounding gardens very pretty. Staff very very friendly in particular the Spa staff and Brandon in the lounge bar...food very good will go back to try Blok another time shame it was not open as the hotel was very busy with it being the Eisteddfod close by which could have been a good showcase for them?

I was staying in the Bruce Suite, it was very nice but i would suggest (as this room is attic one) it gets very hot - i would recommend an air con unit, fans are not good enough.

Fantastic hotel. Interior deco is well designed. Booked a deluxe king suite with bath in middle of the room but ended up with a bathroom on a separate floor. The Bassett suite. Room must’ve been directly above kitchen as it smelt of cooked dinners for the majority of our stay. Booked a meal at the BLOK restaurant in the hotel. Fantastic 3 courses, although I did nearly choke on the meat string that was left in my steak. I did inform the staff but nothing was done.

It was a trip for my wedding anniversary. Absolutely stunning place and the staff were exceptional. The treatments were brilliant but a little pricey for what we had. The outdoor spa was great but could be open for longer as the weather was nice. The food I have to say was outstanding the personal touch by the chef was outstanding. I honestly can’t say enough about the food. Absolutely loved it. We had the tomahawk steak or my god the best I’ve ever had. We had chicken croquettes and cauliflower bites well the starters were heavenly. The experience isn’t cheap but if you want a treat this is the place to go. 5 star for me

Loved the hotel. Not a lot of parking. Bar food no flexibility. I was there having worked all day at 5.50 it took 2 staff to pour drinks. I was served a few minutes before 6 and told it was evening menu which was nibbles. I don’t think a fish finger sandwich would have taken half an hour! Little flexibility is needed for customers. Not everyone is on a spa break

Location was odd, surrounded by a housing estate. Bathroom/toilet didn't have a door Suite had no seating in the room Staff were lovely and it was clean and tidy.
