Attended a concert at Principality stadium ..Location of hotel is great !! But premium rate for standard room was way over the top !!To say room was small is an understatement !! Bathroom very small knees hitting door when using loo and bed slighter bigger than a single for two people absolute joke ...Staff on reception great .. Staff on bar area not so happy with there jobs !! Overall great for location but needs improvement !

Great location, service and price.
Lovely room with a view over the castle grounds. Fastest filled bath ever - a fabulous soak was had! Only real downsides are no sockets near the bed and no USB ports so don’t forget to bring an adapter plug or two and a very long cable. Fantastic selection at breakfast. Wonderful stay - thank you.

The hotel was in a great location - opposite lovely Bute park on the bank of the river Taff and in sight of the castle. The staff were very friendly and professional and the room was very spacious, comfortable and clean with really good aircon. Cardiffs great shopping centre and restaurants were just a short walk away. An ideal location to visit this great city.

Look out for the lifts!
The hotel is fine if a little tired and dated. Location is really what it’s all about here, it’a incredibly convenient for the city centre, the three different stadia and events at the Castle (which is why I was there). I booked it as an alternative to one of the Premier Inns as it has a car park. Unfortunately I was emailed two days before my stay to say all the main roads around that part of the city centre would be shut, so I couldn’t use the car park which was frustrating but not the hotel’s fault. The worst part of the stay by far was getting stuck in the lift for 75 minutes, in the dark. There doesn’t appear to be any back up generator for a bit of light, even, which I assume is down to the lifts being old too. I was stuck with another woman who was attending a wedding at the hotel, I was attending a gig at the cancel and was due to meet friends which I missed out on. Although someone came to ask if we were ok outside the lift a few times, the communication of when we might be freed was poor, and when the fire brigade came to force the doors and help us out, there was no-one from the hotel to even check we were ok. Pretty poor customer service, we were just left to go on our way without even an apology from the hotel. I mentioned it on checking out but even then there wasn’t much acknowledgment of losing more than an hour of our days stuck in the dark in a bloody stuffy lift! Not impressed, won’t be staying there again. Back to the Premier Inn for me!

Overall a satisfactory stay in an excellent locati
Large clean bedroom and bathroom. Fresh bedlinen and towels. Iron with ironing board, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities, bottled water, small fridge, toiletries (hand wash, body wash, shampoo). Noisy toilet system and shower/bath could be heard from all rooms. Nuts, in most peculiar tasting chocolate brownie, which we weren’t made aware of. Overall, a very nice, albeit very expensive, stay.
