Newly renovated1920's brick duplex in Cape Charles' Historic District, with charming historical characteristics that are original to the home, including pocket doors, window transoms and moldings, wood floors, railings, and door knobs.
Both king bedrooms on the second floor have two closets and sitting areas. Every bedroom includes large windows, ceiling fans, and mirrors. One full bathroom features a large tiled shower. The other full bathroom features an original restored claw foot tub with hand-held shower. Large open concept living area, including two dining room tables with seating for sixteen and bar area that has seating for four. The kitchen includes brand new appliances, cabinets and quartz countertops, installed in the summer of 2022. The kitchen includes an instant pot and coffee maker (with both keurig and regular coffee pot capabilities) and a double oven. The living room features a large ROKU T.V. and wireless internet. Spacious utility room on first floor has large wash basin sink, large washer and dryer, and extra shelving for your groceries or beach items. The King bedroom on the third floor has an additional sitting area with a ROKU TV. The third floor has a table and chairs: perfect for an office or playing board games.

There is plenty of parking - street parking out front, side driveway for two cars and rear parking accessed by the alley. See photo of backyard for parking. Big enough for boat trailer!

The large porch is a favorite spot with plenty of comfy seating, including cushioned chairs and loveseats. It is the perfect place for morning coffee, an afternoon with a good book, or rest from a day in the sun.

Golf cart parking is behind the house. Outdoor electrical outlet, for recharging cart, is located on back of house near the stairs. See photo of backyard for location of electrical outlets.

Downtown has a little bit of everything: ice cream shops, a local theatre, cidery, distillery, gourmet food shops, restaurants and boutique shops. Central park has an open field for sports, a children's playground, a beautiful water fountain and hosts concerts every Saturday evening.

It is half a block to Cape Charles Central park, six blocks to the beach and five blocks to downtown. Quiet neighborhood where everyone walks, bikes or takes a golf cart. Come enjoy!

Wonderful vacation home
We've been coming to Cape Charles for 16 years and we've stayed in a bunch of different houses. This home was perfect for us. We were a little concerned with renting a duplex but we had two different families stay in the other half of the house while we were there and honestly, we never heard either family. Our half of the house was perfect for us. The way the home is designed, there are 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a shared bathroom and then 3 bedrooms and a little bonus room on the 3rd floor with a shared bathroom. Two families could rent together and still have privacy (each family can have their own floor). The front porch was really nice and has an L-shape for additional privacy on the side. There is a driveway which was nice because sometimes the street got a little full. We had access to the golf-cart but we also drove down to the beach and it wasn't a big deal. We love the town because it's a place to recharge your battery. It's quiet and perfect for little kids to pre-teens. The beach doesn't have waves so parents do not have to be on high alert the entire time. My teenager (15) got a little bored toward the end of vacation but that had nothing to do with the house (he said he really liked it which is high praise!). If you have a teen that likes to paly video games in their room, you might want to bring an extra TV. Only one of the bedrooms has a TV in the bedroom and it's the master. Wi-Fi was strong throughout the house.

Beach House for family gathering
Large enough to accommodate families. We needed 8 beds in 6 or more bedrooms. This house was perfect for us. All amenities were especially useful. Spent much time sitting on the porch and the golf cart was really useful. Thank you for attention to detail!!

Perfect!
Lovely home in the perfect location in family-friendly Cape Charles VA. Everything is new, kitchen is perfect for cooking large meals, bedrooms are very large and bright. A large, beautiful park is two blocks from the property, great soccer fields and playgrounds, lush grassy areas, splash pad. Perfect for all ages. The beach is a short walk from the house, right on the bay with gorgeous sunsets and family-friendly water good for many aquatic activities. The town is pure Americana, restaurants, delicious ice cream, candy stores, cute shops. Super safe for kids.
