Peaceful house in the hills near Lucca

Welcome to Villa Bartelloni in the Tuscan hills close to Lucca and the VIarregio beach.

Our 4-bedroom house (sleeps 11) is immersed in the picturesque Tuscan hills.

With a sleepy stream at the end of our large garden, surrounded by trees and a private pool, this house is the perfect place to relax. We have private parking through our iron gates so it will be easy to jump in the car and explore Tuscany's many delights.
The cosy living room has a fireplace, books, and DVDs in case you want to snuggle up and switch off. Next door in the traditional wooden kitchen it is the perfect space to socialise and bake focaccia (very appropriate for a building that was once the village bakery). There is plenty of space for a vino and enjoying the view either alfresco in the garden or in the spacious dining room. Both of the communal spaces have comfortable sofa beds.

Linen is provided for our peaceful bedrooms and fully stocked bathrooms. The views are spectacular over the hillside with cypress trees and wisteria the perfect way to be tempted out of bed in the morning.

For literary fans, the paths around the hills of Camiore include VIa Francigena, the pilgrimage route featured in Canterbury Tales. Plus, this is great for hiking, biking, and feeling at one with the beautiful natural surroundings.

The local area is rich with amazing sites including the walled medieval town of Lucca, the Friday morning market in Camaiore, and the beach at Viareggio. You can reach ski resorts, thermal spas, Pisa (including the airport), Sienna, and Florence (including the airport) are all roughly an hour or less from the house making it a great spot to explore all year round.

House-trained pets are welcome, we do ask that they don't go on the beds/sofa and pools to keep them clean. They will love the stream at the bottom of the garden, this wooded area is great for a run-around and exploration.
