Our stay at Quinta da Foz was amazing! This property is easy to find, very unique, authentic and totally enjoyable. Francois was the most gracious host. I would highly recommend this property.
Really amazing stay in Portugal. Francisco checked us in and did a wonderful job showing us the room and grounds. Breakfast each morning was delicious and we ended each day in front of the fireplace in our room! We also visited the restaurants recommended by Francisco and they were wonderful. Nice small town on the coast and lots to explore nearby.
How could one not love staying at this place? A 650 year old estate, with only 4 rooms to rent. Our room was in a building all to itself, detached from everything else. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful, even giving us a tour of the private areas of his family's estate and relaying the history of the estate, which has been in his family since it was built in the 15th century..
Unique place to stay in historic mansion near beautiful beaches (15 min walk) and the mediveal town of Obidos.Beautiful rooms and expansive grounds with a fantastic breakfast served daily.
What made our stay at the Quinta so great was the owner's, Francisco, explanations of his family's history of the Quinta. Truly an exceptional place.
This accommodation is in a lovely hundreds of years old house. The owner of the house showed me the chapel as well. The house is gorgeous. Having a breakfast in its Dinning room reminds me how Portuguese had dinner in the past. Normally the breakfast starts at 8:30 am. We have to leave around 8:30. The owner was so gracious to moved up the breakfast and got fresh bread before our departure. Internet is also very good. Overall a wonderful experience.
What an experience! Francisco and his family go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed to his amazing family home. The property is just incredible and we were lucky to sleep in the old priest quarters which has a fireplace in the room. What a peaceful night we had in front of the fire! We had dinner at a local restaurant that Fransisco recommended and it was one of the best meals of our trip! In the morning, the breakfast was amazing and the property grounds with all of the animals so lovely to explore. I highly recommend a stay in this unique and beautiful property!
Loved the ambience and ancient history surrounding this beautiful property!
The host was so welcoming and kind and gave us a history lesson providing a background to our stay! Walking distance to the lagoon and ocean, beautiful and comfortable!
Quinta da Foz is a really unique property...I mean, there are peacocks in the courtyard...it was amazing. You can feel the history in this property. The breakfast, supplied to our room in a large woven basket, was amazing. We loved the stay.
It's a gorgeous building that has been in their family over 400 years, complete with a cable on site! Their are peacocks that roam the property and the architecture is incredible! The room is beautiful, water pressure is amazing and it's just picture perfect. They also bring you a gorgeous basket of delicious food in the morning! Definitely recommend this B&B!
Excelente lugar.
