Stayed as we have family in the village. Never stayed before but we would return. Continental breakfast included, great choice porridge, toast fruit & yoghurt with option to pay for cooked but we were happy with continental. Room clean and adequate for our stay , toiletries provided, plenty of parking. A little out of oyr usual budget as its a visit to family but was a last minute booking & it did feel like a treat break.
Outstanding in every way! Would recommend without hesitation. Will definitely return when in the area. And, they have the best breakfast coffee we have enjoyed anywhere in the UK!
This is a lovely, independently run guest house, beautiful interior design and quite recently renovated. The food was fantastic, as was the friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the lush green hills and mountains of North Wales. There's an elegant dining room for breakfast and a small, cosy bar. The only thing we didn't really like was the limited dining options in Beddgelert. If the Ty Afon started a little restaurant with the same excellent food and service at breakfast then I'm sure it'd be a hit.

A lovely hotel in a tranquil setting. The owners and staff are all very welcoming & very knowledgeable about the local area. Great breakfast. The hotel is within easy reach of llanberis path, Portmeirion & Anglesey.
So pleased we booked Ty Afon in Bedgelert. A beautiful property, lovely garden, nice decor, super clean and the owner and staff go out of their way to ensure we had a memorable stay. We will definitely stay again.
Beautiful setting. Great hosts. Wonderful hotel dog. Comfortable room. Delicious breakfast whether we choose the included continental or the optional menu order. Mountains all around, river flowing close by with nice path for our evening walk. Village close by for dinner options. Easy drive for hiking from the passes and sightseeing in Caernarfon and Conwy and points between and around.

Tried to cancel or change booking with Expedia and hotel as we hadn’t realised they weren’t dog friendly until we arrived but with no success.
Ended up paying for 2 hotels for the night!!!
We travelled with our adult son to hike in the nearby Eryri National Park. The owner greeted us upon arrival and very thoughtfully upgraded our rooms! Lola, the dog, was so friendly and extremely well behaved. The place is beautifully and freshly decorated. The two bedrooms we saw were unique, comfortable and well equipped. The evening after our hike we had a beer in the bar which was newly opened. Breakfast is a lovely - a continental buffet and choice of hot entrees including a half Welsh breakfast - a very welcome option. The setting is beautiful and lush, at the end of a small drive near the centre of the most picturesque village I've ever been to. We were delighted with our experience at Ty Afon and with the hospitality and charm of the owner and his staff.
Staying at Ty Afon was a last minute find, and I feel lucky to have discovered it! Beautifully kept, excellent staff and friendly owners. Would recommend, and stay again!
Bit difficult to find the entrance, but trust the the sat navigation!
Excellent hotel, limited meals, but super excellent what is on offer.
Staff nice and efficient service.
Decor and rooms clean and modern, site photos dont do it justice.
Try it and be convinced.
Quiet guest house in centre of pretty Beddgellert village perfect location for exploring Snowdonia. Traditionally appointed cosy romantic room recently refurbished. Good breakfast options. Considerate and welcoming staff
Wonderful service and lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Very short walk to centre of the village and lots of walks on the doorstep. Great views from the hotel and fantastic breakfast. Will definitely come again soon
We just adored staying here. The place was spotlessly cleaned, comfortable and bigger than expected. It was quiet and private and so peaceful for the soul. It’s beautiful and the outdoor terrace is lovely after a hike. There are no fridges in the rooms but there’s a fridge in the lounge that you can keep a bottle of wine or a couple of beers in for the afternoon. Staff was so friendly and helpful and location to Beddgelert could not have been any more perfect. Wifi was excellent breakfast was sufficient. We didn’t order hot food as continental was more than enough for us. We will absolutely come straight back here. A
Nice, but rather anonymous and needs to try harder
A nice long cation in Beddgelert. Decent views from the windows we had access to.
Checked in by a very friendly eastern European lady, informative and helpful
Room clean and tidy, though furniture a little dated, though I think it's recently changed hands.
Cooked breakfast is an extra charge of £9.50 though a buffet breakfast is available at no extra cost. This extra isn't overly clear when booking IMHO.
Help yourself water and cake and biscuits in the dining room all hours.
Never met the owners/managers. Might have been booked out by one of them but was never introduced so can't say
Noisy plumbing. Very noisy to the point of annoying.
Some internal walls paper thin. Could hear occupants talking in the next room very easily.
Good location.
Easy parking and easy to find.
Quiet location with walking routes on the doorstep. Shower was weat at best.
Decent enough place, but for the nightly rates I'd expect more of a welcome, better in-room acoustic comfort better plumbing and the option of a proper breakfast.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Loved the location, stunning views, river nearby for walking along and for swimming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price I would have expected at least a fan in the room, lighter cover for the bed, available ice (to be fair, we were there on the (unprecedented) hottest day of the year) and cooked breakfast (which was extra cost).
