To begin with, I was to receive a text when our room was ready. I finally called at about 6:30 to ask if room was ready and it was. We get there and checked in no water was offered as seen offered to other people. We get to our room and start to settle in. In 15min later, I received a text that our room was ready, I go to put the door lock on and it is hanging off the wall and not usable as screws were almost off the wall. I tried to call the front desk and realize there is no phone cord to the phone. I called using my own phone and complained about the problem and was told by Courtney that no maintenance was there to help. I wanted someone to do something about the security and the phone cord. She said that she would be up as soon as she finished checking people in. One and a half hrs.' later, she was a no show. Called the desk again and she was gone of course and Musad aware of the issues, said there is nothing he can do. There was no support or interest in our concern about safety, so being so late and hard to find another hotel, we had to place the chair in front of the door to feel we had some security. The shower has someone else's soap on the soap dish in the shower which tells me no one cleaned the tub or shower. When we move the chair there was some trash under it so again not a clean room. Grout in the bathroom was dirty and looks like not been cleaned for a while. We had a terrible experience and won't stay in a Marriot again. I feel we deserve a refund for this.
