Basic hotel

I’ll start with the not so good. The aircon gets turned off for winter so an only heating option for the aircon units. Our room was 26.5• and was baking with no way to cool it other than opening a very large window which was noisy and quite frankly scary not to fall out of. The bathroom was even hotter. We did complain and was moved to another room but that still wouldn’t cool down past 22•. Small paper cups were supplied for tea and coffee which were a joke to use and if like me you like more than one cup a challenge to clean out. The walls are paper thin hearing all what was happening around you and hard floors in the rooms means we listened to the delightful sound of furniture being dragged about at all hours. Now the good. The staff were very polite and helpful with the room situation.

Hotel refused to provide a room as I showed up at noon and their posted check-in time is 3pm. Now I've traveled to 90 countries and stayed in over 500 hotels in the past 30 yrs. Almost every hotel I've booked has allowed paying customers to check-in early if they have rooms available. Also, I was told NONE of the rooms have mini-refrigerators. I have medication that requires to be chilled so I had to get creative. Lastly, the staff was frappin' snooty. Apparently they think a great deal about themselves. I'm pretty sure I make more money annually than the registration staff combined so they can shove they little attitudes up their...

It was ok. Room was clean, but very dated. Asked for extra pillows at 4pm and was told housekeeping was gone for the day and they locked up the supply closet. LOL Just weird.

I loved staying at this hotel. It was clean. I think when we arrived that night our kettle wasn’t working. They couldn’t find any for us that night but next morning we managed to get a new one. There was no mini fridge but for us it was ok. But the best part was that you are literally 5 minutes walk away from the grand place and everything else. You could see the famous monuments in just a 30 minute walk. The location was perfect. Also quite close the train station the midi. You could probably walk but uber was very cheap. In general if i go back to brussels, i will get the same hotel.

Room was spacious but furniture was old, needs updating, definitely not enough plug sockets, esp near bed. Hotel overall was spacious and looked good Staff were hit and miss, some very friendly, others a little miserable Disappointed by breakfast. Was very basic, had to pay extra for fried eggs! Croissants were decent. Location and surrounding areas very good - right next to Manneken pis and grand place.

Very nice room, comfortable beds and loved that there was a bathtub. There’s a great restaurant on the rooftop with wonderful views. Only drawback was the room was extremely noisy between outside traffic and thin walls where I could easily hear people in the room next to me until 1am. Also not very strong WiFi which made it hard to get any work done.
