+++ The accommodation itself is wonderful and offers the most needed items. We also enjoyed the hot tub at the patio area very much. - - - Having said that, we surprisingly experienced some absolutely "no goes" we didn't expect at all. Firstly, the patio door can't be locked as we found out when a person walked straight to the back door of the cottage and checked if it was locked. Although there's a doorbell at the entrance area, it wasn't used. By any chance, that wasn't you Angeline? This isn't only a safety issue but also a serious preach of our right of privacy as a paying customer. Secondly, the price for our accommodation was far too high for the fact that we woke up nearly every morning either due to building works or someone driving around with a tractor or using a chainsaw to cut wooden blocks into pieces right outside our cottage fence. The fact that the location is surrounded by the motorway as well as the train line is not obvious to non locals and as far as we remember not mentioned in the description when we booked our stay. Therefore, please be advised to expect some extra noises when staying here, especially when there's a loud party going on at the cottage next door till 3am in the morning. Last but not least, on our day of departure John suddenly knocked on the glassdoor which made us jump. Although we hadn't met before, he didn't introduce himself as being the landlord. It was one hour before the scheduled departure time and we expected it to be an emergency. As a matter of fact, he only wanted to add 2 sheets of paper to the instruction book. Are you serious?? You mean that couldn't wait till we had left an hour later? We immediately felt this was rather a damage check than a friendly visit. And again, half an hour later the "pool man" did exactly the same. All of the above mentioned experience gave us the feeling of not having been welcomed by the owners of this premises at all. We travelled all over the world but we never ever have been treated this way. Understandably, we regret we spent so much money on a stay like this. Hospitality, respect and kindness towards customers is a God given gift. Whoever is interested in the money only works definitely in the wrong business.
