Positives: Great location ; Helpful and exceptionally friendly lady in reception; basic breakfast which is a nice gesture
Negatives:
- Stayed in Room 1, Floor 2 on my own overlooking a very busy High Street. You are not told this before booking but note that the window in the room is a thin sash one so you hear ALL the noise outside. The solution I was offered was earplugs!!! So I wore those and was able to sleep. At over £50 per night, I feel that's an unreasonable request when they could just spend money on ONE double glazed window so their guests can be comfortable. The other lady who was already complaining in reception as I arrived had resorted to sleeping on one of the leather sofas in the communal sitting room to escape the noise coming into her room.
- Two bathrooms with showers on the second floor wreaked of mold
- No mixer taps in bathrooms so I had to resort to the freezing cold tap in winter. It's 2017!!
- No shelf in shower cubicle to place shower gel. So if you are tall enough like me (almost 6Ft), it barely stays on top of the electric shower. If you're short, you'll probably have to make do with having it in the shower tray with you.
- Two towels which probably started off white and had seen better days were provided. Seriously, how expensive are towels from Poundland??
I feel that because of it's location, this hostel can always fill its room. So it doesn't have to spend money to make its guests feel comfortable. Unfortunately, I shall not be coming back.

Disliked: Room comfort
Window had some gaps so cold air was constantly let in as was all the noise from the street. Also meant room wasnt ever completely warm as the radiator was right under the window. Got a cold head/neck as bed was inn the corner next to window. also the curtains were not long enough so lots of light was also let into the room as did the cold. Location is decent and easy access to buses.
Very comfortable and at a great price . You pay for what you great and it's good

Central, cheap, convenient
When I arrived there was no key available for the room but after a few calls someone had decided to cancel giving me their room, which was comfortable. The breakfast was very poor, being self service consisting of cereals and juice. There WAS bread available to make toast but no butter/marg or jam or marmalade as there were empty pots only in the fridges. This was despite having 2 different kitchens on 2 different floors. Nobody to ask for more, at 9.30am on a sunday. It was very central for the night life of Bristol and I was not disturbed by any noise. Overall, a very convenient, and cheap place to stay.

Well located, acceptable price-quality ratio
The facilities are not superb, but meet the expectatives of a hostel. Extremely convinient due to its location, but prone to be noisy during nights. They allow free access to a well-equipped kitchen that might save you some money on meals. However, the included breakfast is somehow dissapointing – besides having to prepare your meal, the variety and freshness of products may be improved. In brief, it is reasonable choice for constrained budgets without refusing to a centric location, but do not expect anything fancy.
Stayed two nights in the premium private room. It was cheap and for a reason. The room was very basic (bed, table and light). The TV did not work. The main issue is the noise - I expect quite a bit being near the centre of a city but the windows are not double/triple glazed and is right next to the road/Lizard Lounge night club so it gets very noisy at night. More needs to be done about this. Communal bathrooms were fine but the landing etc. smells quite significantly of Subway (as it's right above it). Think the place is a good hostel to stay at if you're just on a night out in Bristol but nothing more.
Hostel was clean and well managed, rooms very basic but clean- location is excellent with parking close by. Cheaper by 25% than the nearest hotel (further away from the area). No complaints at all for a room to sleep in which is what we wanted!

Comfy bed, friendly staff
Great team working at the hostel, friendly and helpful. Good breakfast selection - pancake Monday's are appreciated! Slightly noisy if you're in a room on the road side, but very quiet at night on the other side of the hostel

Some good sides, some bad sides, make it average
The location is convenient. The staff are nice. The room is warm and comfortable. However, the wifi is not stable that sometimes I can't really connect with it. Besides, the shower is either too hot or too cold. The soundproof needs improvement. Please note that you have to prepare breakfast for yourself. They only offer ingredients.
Ok once we actually found it , it's just a doorway on a busy street and the receptionist had no idea of any land marks and didn't think to tell us that , apart from that it was ok and quite nice to meet other people staying there
Was really good. PERFECT for me as I was at ending course in Nuffield gym across the road. LOVELY bathrooms. Could have had more fridge space but otherwise a very successful stay. I am a 56 yr old male but did not feel out of place st at all
cheap and in a amazing spot!! everything you need from restaurants, clubs, supermarkets ect. Loved the Hotel free breakfast.

Decent location and clean
Ok hostel. Not enough bathrooms ad you always had to wait. Some sketchy characters that hung around the hostel also made us uneasy at times. Otherwise nice and clean
I had initially booked Monday and Tuesday night , but there was a change in the circumstances and did not stay ,
I was how Peter able to stay Wednesday and Thursday instead , with the entra for Thursday .
The room was clean , nice living room and kitchen facilitates .
My only grip was that there was only a partial curtail at the window to obstruct the viewers from seeing into the room . which a was very poor , and not an oversight . Bedding was clean, Which was clear to see , I had brought my own anyway .
Would recommend this location it was excellent in feet of sainsbury, subway and a short walk
From the university area which has many pleasant drink bars .
Would stay again .
I was only there for one day. The staff were very kind and helped me through my stay as I had to leave early. The condition were great but need for more air/open window would be appreciated during the summer as it was hot. It was extremely clean however one of the guest did not clean up their Chinese/Oriental meal but that is not the hostel fault.
The room were comfortable.
Good, clean, comfortable accommodation in a good location and overall I was pleased with my stay. However, I would like to provide the following constructive feedback: when i booked the superior double room, and paid a significant amount of money for it, i expected towels and luggage storage to be included, and not to be offered optionally at an extra charge as if i had booked a bed in a dorm. I would also mention that the breakfast is "self-service", meaning that breakfast food is provided in a fridge and you have access to a shared kitchen, where you need to cook your own breakfast and clean up after yourself.
Nice hostel in the very centre of Bristol, not a bad word to say about it

Very Noisy
The room was fine
The bunk beds are a little low and you can't sit up in them. Plus no chair in room. The doors squeak and slam shut. During my 1 night stay other guests were loud. There is a charge for using a towel. Front desk was Excellent.
