We found four spiders in our room. The hallway outside the room was stained and littered with trash. Most of the rest of the room was fine and looked clean, but the bathroom was not; there was a hair in the drain, and the toilet paper holder was coming off the wall.
The area around the hotel feels extremely unsafe. The lot next to the hotel is just a bunch of grass and gated off and there are signs of homeless people. It reminds me of NYC back alleys.
The breakfast area is very small, has very limited seating, and gets very cramped. Breakfast options are limited to a couple of cereals, eggs, sausages, yogurts, and waffles.
Service depends on who you get. When I asked one of the receptionists a simple question, she responded extremely rudely and gave me two different answers in the same sentence. The other receptionist we met, Sandy, is wonderful and the only good thing about our stay here, although she unfortunately seems oblivious to the hotel's problems. Unfortunately, she was not able to provide any compensation for the issues we encountered, which I don't blame her for (she even offered to have maintenance come down and kill the spiders we saw, although we killed the ones we could already).
Just to add insult to injury, the alarm clock was preset to go off at midnight.
I was really hoping the negative reviews of this hotel were exaggerating. They were not. This place does not deserve to charge $200 a night. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.
