The room initially appeared clean, but when I pulled back the bedding I found crumbs and hair in the bed. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, he stated the room had been cleaned at 11 a.m. I checked in around 6 p.m., and regardless of the time, the bed was not clean.
By the time we discovered the issue, our belongings were already unpacked. Although we were offered a different room, after a nine hour drive we were not in a position to repack, move, and unpack again. We requested fresh sheets, but were only provided the linens and instructed to change them ourselves.
Neither Sleep Inn Boone nor Expedia offered any form of compensation. Based on this experience, I would not stay at this property again and I will no longer use Expedia.
