Great property but ineffective communication with property management company
We recognize that Hurricane Helene represents a special case; however, the property we stayed in was damaged, and although we got a communication response via email (after calling and emailing) from the property management company about the situation, it was basically “we’re super busy and will get back to you when we can.” In my mind, a property management company would have the forethought to staff additional help if they had renters and property owners they are representing during a catastrophic weather event. We know the property management company nor the owners have no control over nature, but we at least expected someone to come out and survey the damage to the property fairly quickly since there was water damage, multiple leaks, and the house was hit by a huge tree top, which crushed the A/C unit. If I were a homeowner using this rental agency to rent my vacation home, I might be upset and at the slow response. The severe weather and damage to the house aside, the property was clean, well-maintained, well-equipped, accurate compared to the description, and was a great place to rent under normal circumstances.

Overall we had a great time. Plenty of room for family of four. Ping pong table was a hit. Attempted 1000 piece puzzle, played uno and board games. 10 year old was super excited to see a Xbox but never had the opportunity to play. Hot tub felt a smidge dirty but was heated on arrival and felt great. Upstairs couches were very comfortable. Could use more seating in the gaming area. Again great stay would benefit from a

Nice get away
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. The cabin was in a perfect location just 10 min drive to downtown Blowing Rock and 2 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was clean and cozy. Some of the finishes were a little outdated. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. We had a wonderful time. The views from the back porch were amazing.

Beautiful cabin near Appalachian Ski Mountain!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay - brought our basset hound as well. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Blowing Rock - beautiful backyard that backs up to woods. Instructions are clear regarding what to bring; accommodations were clean and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Awesome location!
There is something to be said for being able to build a snowman on a railing while sitting in a hot tub after a day of snowboarding, only to then go inside and play games in front of the fireplace. The house was so cozy and spacious for a two bedroom.

Great Cabin....but read review
Great cabin and well equipped. Very convenient to both Blowing Rock and Boone. Only two things I wish to alert future renters too. The cabin is right on the road to the ski area. This means that between 7:00am and 7:00pm cars are driving by the cabin every 90 seconds. They drive fast despite the curvy road. Very dangerous for children. The property also has a digital keypad lock on the front door that self locks after a few seconds. This is very annoying when unloading or loading your vehicle. You also run the risk of getting locked out if you happen to leave your device (which has the code on it in an email from the property manager) in the house, which is what happened to my wife and daughter.

Cozy Retreat
Very clean and well laid out. Drank coffee on the back porch while enjoying the gorgeous view with the sounds of Tweetsie railroad in the distance. Queen bed with large bathroom is on the main level. King bed is on lower level but that worked great for us as we used the downstairs den to hang out. Would definitely stay here again.

a pleasant stay
the house was comfortable for our 5 nights. it has all the basic needs plus a generally well furnished (stocked) kitchen. i say "generally", as there was information that we would not have any pepper, which is strange, even though we did have it and would expect it in any rental. no pepper?? salt, but no pepper?? odd. we were also warned that there would be only 2 trash bags, and that was indeed the limit. happily we didn't generate a lot of trash and the receptacles in front were more than ample to hold it. sadly, there is no recycling - NONE - so we had to dump our recyclables into the bin with the paper trash - coke bottles, plastic, paper - all together. we would have carried it in the car, but we were fully loaded. NO recycling in 2019?? a sad commentary on us. the house is comfortable, and the beds are good, and it was all very clean. it would be helpful if the upstairs shower had a grab bar, a standard feature these days. the downstairs bedroom is large, dark, quiet, and one could sleep for days there. we called it "a cave". it's wonderful. were i a bear, i could hibernate there in winter. the air conditioning in the house works very well - a big plus in mid-summer. the back porch is glorious with comfortable wicker and a pleasant mountain view, shaded by leafy trees in mid-summer. the house is very close to a main road, but that is NOT a noise problem, as the walls appear thick, and there aren't a ton of windows anywhere. while it seems a main road, it doesn't get all that much traffic, so it's not at all a problem. if one has a dog and walks at night, take note of the steep unguarded drop off to the left of the front of the house. fortunately, we became aware of it early on in the day time and avoided it. it's quite something!! be alert to it. otherwise the grounds below the house, down the steps, are well kept and reasonably safe, so long as one keeps to the steps and the more gentle areas. all in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

Relaxing getaway
House was comfortable and well laid out. Loved the high ceilings & the open entryway. Great place for staging hiking gear. Porches and the view are incredible! Very private even though the house is very easy to get to. Yard is beautiful! Spent a lot of time on the upper porch in the comfortable chairs reading & talking & listening to the Tweetsie train. This house is perfectly located for Bass Lake hiking & the BRP as well as shopping in Blowing Rock. We had a wonderful time.

Very clean and perfect location
Great Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking Thanksgiving dinner very easy. Very clean and comfortable. Loved being able to have our fur baby and the crates being made available. The yard was a perfect addition. House is close to the road but not noisy and had ample parking for our two cars. Views were amazing both morning and night.
