Located in the highly sought after Aska Adventure Area, 5 Hikes is an escape from the everyday and an ideal place to come home to after a day of exploring the best of Blue Ridge and beyond. Hiking and horseback riding trails, boating, kayaking, tubing and fishing are within two miles and the shops and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge are just an eight minute drive.

5 Hikes can accommodate up to 12 guests- perfect for your family vacation or a group of friends! Built with comfort and serenity in mind, the uncluttered, open plan interior was designed to bring the outdoors in with walls of windows allowing natural light throughout. The main living area features a gas log fireplace with a 65" HD Smart TV mounted above it. Prepare meals in a fully- stocked chef's kitchen with custom cabinetry, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances including a Keurig coffee maker. It has everything you need to prepare meals and serve a crowd including a gas range and microwave drawer.

There's plenty of room for everyone to rest in comfort with three master suites with king beds, an additional bedroom with two double beds, a twin bunk room and a queen sized Murphy bed in the loft. Each bedroom has memory foam mattresses, a ceiling fan and a 55" flat screen HD Smart TV.

Downstairs in the game room you'll find a 65" HD Smart TV, gas fireplace, pool table, shuffle board table and large wet bar with full sized refrigerator and freezer. Both living areas open onto the decks. Perfect getaway in the mountains
There was not one corner of this house that wasn’t beautiful! We took so many pictures and videos because it was truly breathtaking views. From early morning sunrises watching from the bar top table on the outside deck or cozying up to the outdoor fireplaces during the sunsets, being in this home all day was magical. We absolutely loved the space for our big family. There were so many fun places the kids could sleep as well. There was endless entertainment from in the house to a quick drive in any direction. We will definitely be back for another beautiful getaway.

Family Christmas 2024
This was our third stay in Blue Ridge, and this cabin was by far the best. We loved our stay. The views were breathtaking! It was the perfect space and great location. Everything was just as described and pictured. Very tastefully decorated. The welcome basket was most appreciated. Communication with the property owner was very prompt. We'd love to return one day!

Perfect Cabin for a Cozy Friends’ Getaway!
We stayed at this cabin for our annual friend’s trip, and it was absolutely perfect! The house was cozy, well-appointed, and had everything we needed—from a fully stocked kitchen to plenty of extra blankets. The Christmas tree added such a festive touch, making it ideal for our gift exchange and reunion. The hot tub with stunning views was a highlight, and Angela was incredibly responsive and helpful. It truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and hope to return in the future!

Book Club Girls Trip
This was our 14th fall trip together and it was great! The property is beautiful and had everything we needed. We didn’t even use the outdoor fire pit because the outdoor fireplace on the deck was too inviting! All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely think about returning here next year!

Absolutely Stunning
5 Hikes is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed, and Angela was the best Host. I don't know where to start with this review. The pictures do not do the house or the views justice, it is absolutely incredible. Not a single detail was missed in this house. We drove in during a rain storm and it was just getting dark, so the drive in was a bit intimidating for those of us not used to driving in the mountains, but 100% worth it and we became pros shortly after arriving. My family did not want to leave this beautiful place at the end of our stay and we are already taking about when we can come back.

This place was the best VRBO experience I've ever had. The owner included all kinds of extras, like snacks, Christmas decorations, plenty of cleaners, paper towels, etc. Plus, the furnishings didn’t feel like leftovers. For example, when we cooked, it didn’t feel like the older, dull set of knives, mismatched cooking utensils, etc. Super great place. Highly recommend!

The pictures do not do this home justice. It’s absolutely stunning! We stayed with our three small children and were very comfortable. Angela thought of everything. It would also be the perfect home for friends. You don’t even need to leave the property. The home was also immaculate. We hope to come back.

Family Weekend in the Mountains
We had a wonderful weekend with family at 5 Hikes in Blue Ridge. The view from this house had my Dad taking pictures morning, afternoon, and night every day we were there. Even more beautiful in person! Angela was so responsive with our questions, and her home had everything we could need. The Fall decor with pumpkins on the front steps was such a thoughtful touch. Cannot say enough great things about this property!

My family consisted of 8 adults, three children and a baby and all had a memorable stay at 5 Hikes Oct 6-9. The view of the mountains and lake is superb especially from the back deck with fireplace which overlooks the mountains. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and the dining table was perfect for our large family. The hot tub was a big hit with everyone as well. We hope to plan another trip in the future to stay at the “5 star 5 hikes”.

Our church staff stayed at 5Hikes for 3 nights. Checkin was very easy, the house was immaculate, and the views were amazing! Plenty of room, kitchen well stocked, furniture and beds comfortable, and lots of games available as well as game room and fire pit. Fabulous Family Retreat @ 5Hikes
The nine members of my family -- ages 2/12 to 63 -- gathered for a long weekend of celebration at 5Hikes, the luxury mountain-top "cabin" in Blueridge. Our three married couples, two engaged young adults and one grandchild, found in this newly-built, and tastefully-appointed home more than enough space to both retreat and relax, but also to gather for group fun. The open-plan main floor of kitchen, dining and living space was our central gathering space, combined with the beautiful covered deck livingroom space just outside the glass windows and doors, so that we could be together both inside and out simultaneously. The deck with its gas grill and a wood-burning fireplace faces the incredible layered vista of mountain, valley, and lake. It was the family's favorite spot for solitary reflection, morning coffee but also for various combinations of group conversation. 5Hikes' three king on-suite bedrooms (one on each of the three floors) perfectly accommodated our group. Combined with the two additional lower-level bedrooms and the upper-level loft murphy, the home provided ample sleeping and personal space for all of our sub-units, without us feeling cramped or inconvenienced. Being just a short drive to the town center, and lots of different outdoor recreation spots, we found the home's location perfect for our purposes to spend lots of time together, relaxing, celebrating and enjoying the beautiful setting of the Blue Ridge mountains. Fantastic house with the most unbelievable views!
We were traveling as 3 families with two kids each, ranging in age from 10-2. The house was super clean and had every amenity and kitchen gadget you could ask for. The view of the mountains and Lake Blue Ridge from the multiple decks and outdoor spaces were phenomenal. We all had plenty of space to ourselves and plenty of large space to gather as a group. Only thing that would’ve been nice, would’ve been the ability to use the fireplace next to the hot tub which isn’t available after April. Other then that, it was a great rental and one of the best we have ever stayed in.
