Camp Blanco by Lodgewell | Riverfront retreat 3 Homes, Game Room & more

Yippee ki-YAAAY!
Blanco, TX | Riverfront Glamp-ground | 18 Acres | Sleeps 14
Wishing you could go back to summer camp? Or maybe you re a little too old now and really enjoy A/C? If exploring 18 acres of a former 1940 s Girl Scout camp while yelling out, mid-cannonball into a historic TX river is on your bucket list, Camp Blanco will help you check it off.

From girl scouts to glamp outs, Camp Blanco is rooted in the history of its land and has been updated for a new generation of campers. Those who seek connection with the beauty and essence of the Texas hill country landscape, while also connecting with friends and family.

Set amongst towering pecan and oak trees along 600 feet of the Blanco River, sits The Ranger, The Brownie, The Kookaburra & The Daisy.
THE RANGER
The Ranger stone house once served as the Camp Blanco Lodge and welcomes you with exterior and interior natural stone that makes you feel at one with nature. The home features a beautiful living room with massive fireplace, lounge area, 2-bedrooms, 1.5 baths, open kitchen and an inviting front porch where you can learn a G-chord or look for wild turkey (The animal kind silly! The bar is inside).

THE BROWNIE
The Brownie bunkhouse sits directly next to the Ranger and is newly outfitted with 2 full-size bunks and twin trundles underneath. Don t forget to call Top Bunk! if that s your thing. There is a kitchenette, living, and dining space that s perfect for kids and guests who need a little extra space.

THE KOOKABURRA
The Kookaburra game room is really more than a room, because it s actually a 3-car garage that has been decked out with every game imaginable: pool table, poker table, shuffleboard, foosball, and an 82 TV for movies and more.

THE DAISY
The Daisy guest house was where Camp Blanco admin would do admin-y stuff with calculators and paperwork and now it s WAY more fun as a vintage guest house. Featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a fireplace, and a 2 car carport, this is a great place to spread out your cabin mates comfortably.

Take the road or trail below Red Bluff where you ll be greeted by your own private grass land that is like having an entire park to yourself and leads to 600 feet of Blanco river frontage.

The Outdoor Pavilion is ready for your friendship-bracelet-making or campfire songs you can belt out around the fireplace inside this unique waterfront open-air structure. Stash your river toys here for easy access to your water fun!

This idyllic setting that once served The Girl Scouts and has now been revived and reimagined is ready for you to make your own memories. Come explore the peaceful and private historic 18 acres of Camp Blanco and don t forget to write home while you re there.

Camp Blanco was all we hoped for.
The grounds and homes were better than we hoped. We had plenty of room for our family and enjoyed every space. The kitchen was nice a large and the main table fit us all perfectly. We had all we could ask for in the kitchen and were never wanting for more of anything. We had plenty of towels, toiletries, blankets, pillows, cleaning supplies and even some special extras we did not expect. The game room was a special hit with all ages and the AC units blew cold! All properties are beautifully appointed and have all you would expect even down to lanterns and batteries. We enjoyed the close proximity to the town and the quiet and tranquil surroundings. We will recommend this home for sure.

Amazing Weekend Getaway with Friends
Awesome stay at Camp Blanco. The property is magnificent - right in the heart of Texas wine country - it provided a great place to hang, cook, and fish with a bunch of friends catching up for a long weekend. Thanks for everything!

Mother’s Day with the Fam
We made some wonderful memories this weekend! The property has three beautiful houses in close proximity within each other and an incredible game room! We explored Blanco’s restaurants and shopping scene, golfed and even caught a huge catfish! Lodgewell was very responsive and took a huge interest in our stay!

Calm & Relaxing
The perfect location for a family getaway. The spot on the river was perfect for the little ones in our group and the adults enjoyed it just as much! The homes were perfect and well maintained. Only complaint was several wasps nest throughout the property. We had to be cautious of our surroundings and tried to spray them, as necessary. Otherwise, great location.

Shhh, keep this between us - this place ROCKS!
Last minute getaway for a nearby sporting event with family and friends. What a fantastic property - very accommodating for 3-4 families or groups - in our case two families and 5 teenagers plus dogs. The main house has been beautifully restored and served as the central hub for meals, discussions and lots of laughter. The bunkhouse and game room were a complete hit with the teens: TV, poker, pool table, shuffleboard, darts and foosball! The cottage with two additional bedrooms and a kitchen served its purpose perfectly. The river was cool and inviting - personal best Guadalupe bass were caught and released by multiple fisherman. The yurts were an option and perhaps if a bit cooler, would have been fully utilized. To a person, we were all planning our next trip out to this beautiful piece of Texas Hill Country. Huge kudos to Lodgewell - they are the best property manager we have ever worked with - great service and amenities. We will be back!

The BEST family getaway EVER!
I was searching for a quick family getaway from Austin into the country and nature and found Camp Blanco in Blanco, TX only an hour away! Since there was so much space, I invited another couple and their three sons. So there were nine of us total and let me tell you, there was PLENTY of space to spread out and have fun! The history of the place being a Girl Scout camp in the 1940's was so cool and the drive there was beautiful. The property is gated and sits on 18 acres of natural beauty. Each family had their very own house and the kids had a HUGE bunkhouse that sleeps 6 attached to an incredible game room with doors that open up to an outdoor patio/play area. We brought our bikes and the kids loved riding around all over the land and over to the Teepees for some "me-time." That's right - I said Tee-pees...there are two huge tents set up for real camping if you want. No bathroom or electricity, but the houses are closeby if you need those modern amenities. ;-) The kids loved using their imaginations inside and had a blast exploring. We watched shows and listened to music on the enormous gameroom TV while playing cards, shuffleboard, pool and foosball. We hiked down the very steep hill (not for biking) to the property's riverside space which is like having an entire park to yourself! The Blanco River is crystal clear and we all took turns catching fish and kayaking! We even hired Lodgewell's exclusive fly fishing guide who brought his boat straight to us and took two people out at a time fishing on the river. My son caught his first Guadalupe Bass on a fly! At night we used the outdoor pavilion by the river to build a fire and enjoy the starry sky while catching up together as families. The paved hill down to the river is steep, but makes great exercise going back up if that's your thing! We grilled burgers and hot dogs on their awesome gas/charcoal/smoker and enjoyed the firepit up by the house after with campfire songs. The homes are equipped with everything you can think of and the service from Lodgewell was top notch. The trip was too quick to go into town and check out Blanco, but we have already been planning a longer trip back here because it was absolutely heaven. A place for kids, and grown-up kids, to reconnect outside of the city and slow down was something we all desperately needed and we can't wait to go back!
