Didnt use the pool, rooms are outdated,wifi non existent. Didnt replenish amenities in our room,fridge was noisy, shower and bathroom in poor state. Staff pleasent at reception. However we noticed there were no porters on hand to sssust with luggage,Constant unwanted internal phone calls. Unfortunately in general the venue needs a decent makeover

Enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was great (local selections) and the staff were friendly and professional. There is a warm water wading pool and swim up bar, which my husband and I enjoyed. It is a bit far from the night life in Crown Point, but nowhere is truly far in Tobago. The room was clean and we had a partial view of the ocean, even though we did not book an ocean view room. We loved that little surprise.You could hear the waves from the room and that lulled us to sleep. The only cons- our room was very far from the front of the hotel and the ramps to get to the room were steep. The ramps were not covered and unfortunately it rained. So the options were to get soaked in the rain or stay put in the room/lobby. When we were checking out, someone charged a drink to our room. We had to wait for quite a bit for it to be sorted but the receptionist eventually told us we could leave, because we were becoming increasingly late to catch our ferry to Trinidad. Nonetheless, would recommend the stay. It was good value.

Pool area was clean and quiet because of few occupants. Dining room staff was helpful but a bit inexperienced. A pity the bar was empty also at night, but maybe because there were very few guests. But that added to the quietness of the place which I thoroughly enjoyed.

This was absolutely the worst experience. The room we were placed in, had no Wi-Fi. A member of staff said we’ll give a refund, then placed all blame on Expedia when payments were made through the hotel. The bathroom wasn’t the most pristine, couldn’t access shows/movies on the to since no Wi-Fi even though we moved rooms. We wanted a king bed, we had a double bed. No complimentary drinks or meals to facilitate that we tried to sort the issue out for hours. So sunset was water. Staff members(front desk receptionist and manager) were rude. Receptionist asked what race I was( she didn’t see me as yet since they changed shift), wanting to know if I’m African or Indian and made the statement as that Indians have to have everything right or they will complain or African will accept the issues but will tell you what’s wrong. We went to the bar to get something and no one was there, spoke to manager said that they’ll send someone, no one showed up after waiting 30 minutes. Spoke to the manager to say it’s been a while and was basically said oh well and left it to be. The utter rudeness, uncleanliness and proper working amenities made this stay horrible. The only thing I was thankful for, was that it was for two nights

The room hosted wood furniture why could possibly just be a thing all across the island. Was it the best room i ever stay in no and far from it. I will start with the pros, the view was amazing, the room was spacious, the pool was decent, that’s the extent of the pros. The hotel overall could use some TLC, there is a lot of noticeable and sloppy patch work. The bathroom roof was converted in mold in multiple stops. The speakers by the pool didn’t work, my key to my room only worked once. At this present moment i would not recommend staying in this hotel. It needs TLC and renovations

Easily the worst place I have stayed at in my entire life. From day one we had no hot water. We made this aware to the "staff" and they never did anything about it, so we spent 3 days showering with cold water. The first night we were also left locked out of our rooms because our room keys did not scan. There was no one in sight to call for help. After 2 hours we were able to find a number on the third page of google which led us to an employee that sent someone to make us cards. On the third day our air broke. I asked the front desk lady to please PLEASE have the air working when we returned from our wedding. When we got back close to midnight no one had went to check. We had to call again and ask someone to go fix it. Another 2 hours wasted. Not to mention how scary it was having a group that checked in next to us that was slamming doors and drinking beers in the hall way while making threats over the phone. There was no security in sight to make us feel remotely safe. AVOID AT ALL COST ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY. This place should be removed from expedia and all other platforms.

Faded gem

Our stay at Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort was disappointing and fell far short of expectations. While the property has an excellent location and spacious grounds, it is in urgent need of renovation and better upkeep. The resort itself looks old and neglected. Buildings and common areas show years of wear, with faded paint and outdated furnishings. What could have been charming instead feels tired and run-down. Even the fish ponds, which should have been a highlight, were murky with green growth, giving the property an unkempt and poorly maintained look. The room was no better. The air conditioning barely worked, making it uncomfortable to relax or sleep. In a tropical climate, reliable cooling is essential, not optional. The towels provided were thin, rough, and long past their prime—something that immediately took away from comfort. Service was polite but lacked warmth or attentiveness. Staff did their jobs, but there was no sense of hospitality or effort to make guests feel truly welcome. Overall, Le Grand Courlan has potential but feels like it is living off past glory. Without serious renovations and attention to detail, it cannot compete with other resorts in the area. Basics like clean amenities, properly working AC, and fresh linens should be standard, yet they are missing here. Until the property invests in improvements, it’s hard to recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel is a bit faded around the grounds but very clean and spacious. Breakfast was tasty and included local dishes. Staff were friendly and quick to assist. Based on value 4/5 and I would stay again.

Awesome pool and very very relaxing. Polite and helpful staff. You should know there are zero food options at the hotel not even fries which was very disappointing. Breakfast was next door at the Grafton which is a family hotel. So for us we arranged childcare to have a couple trip only to eat breakfast amongst families which ramped up the mom guilt!

We enjoyed this property for a number of reasons: 1) The view from our room was spectacular 2) The layout of the property was outstanding and held much potential 3) The lounge area was quiet and relaxing. 4) The daily breakfast at the sister property, Grafton Beach Hotel, was delicious with a variety of local foods. In regards to the staff, I was quite impressed with the response of staff and management to our needs. We had a bit of a rough start but within one day, all was resolved far above our expectations. Thanks to the property manager, Olivier. Outstanding service. Our housekeepers, Sharon and Patsy as well as Sharlene, the housekeeping manager, were exceptional. I love how Patsy operated in the realm of excellence without a second thought. Wow! I will definitely revisit the property. I cannot forget Chrisy, front office supervisor, and her incredible listening skills. I felt heard and appreciated. This team at Le Grand Courlan is a winning team. Thanks again to the management, Olivier, Phillip, Chrisy and Sharlene for modeling a high level of customer service and strong leadership skills.
