Beautifully presented and spacious 2 bedroom apartment offering fabulous views

The Moorings is a modern 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment, offering spacious living space with spectacular views of the estuary as well as being just a couple of minutes walk of the beach. The apartment is non smoking and we are sorry but we don't accept pets
Approached from the private car park, where you have your own parking space you enter the building by a secure lobby, up the stairs to your own entrance hall with ample room for coats and shoes. Entering the beautifully presented apartment itself, the two bedrooms are on the left hand side with views over looking the private communal gardens and are separated by the bathroom. The bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin, are equipped with very comfortable mattresses / duvets and pillows and both have their own wardrobes, whilst the bathroom has a walk in shower, washbasin and toilet.
On the right side of the apartment which overlooks the estuary is the open plan living space, which offers a fully contained kitchen area with electric hob, electric fan oven and grill, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, a lounge which opens onto the private balcony and a separate dining area all with differing estuary views. The lounge has a sofa and 2 armchairs, a wall mounted TV with free view as well as a DVD player, a Bose system for playing your CDs and iPod and offers access onto the balcony which has its own table and seating for 2. The separate dining area also has a dining table and 4 chairs, bookcases offering a selection of books, DVDs and games for your enjoyment.
WIFI/internet is available via the hub in the lounge area.
The apartment is gas centrally heated via a combination boiler with thermostatic controls that also supplies all of the hot water on demand.
All bed linen and towels are provided along with a welcome pack tea, coffee milk, sugar and biscuits.
There is a communal bike store that can be used to store bikes during your stay – please bring your own bike locks
There is a local shop, 4 local bars and a hotel that all offer food, all within walking distance
There are also regular bus services serving both Barnstaple and Bideford as well as a ferry service in the summer that will take you to Appledore

Really lovely stay in this apartment. Just as all the photos. We love Instow, so lovely to walk from apartment straight to beach and 3 pubs along the front. John’s the deli is very useful too. Easy for exploring North Devon.

Everything you could possibly need in this clean and spacious apartment. This is our second stay and we will return. The bus stop is just a step away, the beach only a few minutes walk and the view of the water always changing. Highly recommended. Ian the host is really helpful and quick to respond to questions.

Lovely flat, gorgeous views
We had a great week at this lovely, clean, well-equipped flat. We really enjoyed the gorgeous view of the estuary over to Appledore and watching the changing tides. The location was excellent for all our day trips and the property was one of the nicest we have stayed in. Ian, the owner was very helpful and responsive to queries. Very conveniently situated property overlooking the old station building (yacht club) and Tarka Trail. Easy walk to pubs, deli etc. Not many properties in this area have the designated parking this flat has. Buses nearby, bike hire 10 mins away at Fremington Quay. Lovely sunsets due to westerly facing building, can be windy though.

A delight to walk into after traveling. Bright, airy and clean. The kitchen supplies all excellent quality and plenty. The view of the village and Appledore in all weathers and times of day was lovely. The bus stop a few steps from the door an added bonus. I hope it’s free the next time we visit !

Autumn in Instow
Beautifully presented, well stocked, comfortable flat overlooking Instow harbour. Yatch club obscures view from balcony and it overlooks the coast path so there is plenty of activity, but it is on the first floor so it is not too obtrusive. Lots of places to eat and drink in Instow and the tarka trail and beach on the doorstep.

Fabulous - again
This is the second time we've stayed in this flat for our summer holiday. The flat is really clean, has everything you could need and the location is superb. The warm weather meant we were able to sit out on the balcony every night and watch the sunsets.

The apartment had everything we needed for our holiday . Easy walk to the sandy beach and walking the Tarka trail. The TV was quite confusing to us Aussies! Lots of technology there we didn't quite understand so a help sheet would have been good to assist plus maybe times and days that pubs and restaurants serve food in the area would be helpful. Linen and towels were changed midway through which was really good. Thanks for a good stay

Ideal for cycling the tarka trail.
The flat is clean and has everything you need. The TV doesn't work very well so ensure you bring other things to do. There are a selection of games, books,DVD. The bike shed is fairly full and not locked. But managed to squeeze 2 bikes in, reassured a little that people wouldn't leave them there if a problem. Had a lovely hols, thank you 😊

Clean and tidy apartment, nice touch to open fridge to find a pint of milk, coffee and tea bags, also to have dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid/washing machine tablets, home from home. Only down side, the bush by the key box needs pruning, and the tv has a mind of its own some times.😀

Excellent North Devon Apartment
This apartment was perfect for us for our holiday this year. We are a family of 4 with children aged 1 and 5. The location was fantastic, looking out over the estuary, with the beach only a few minutes walk away. The apartment had everything we needed and was well equipped. It is also the perfect base for exploring other parts of North Devon. The short ferry ride from Instow to Appledore is definitely work doing our kids loved it. We had an excellent holiday and would live to return and stay here again in the future.
