Decent hotel away from city centre

Decent enough hotel with ample parking. Decent selection at breakfast and excellent comfortable rooms. Let down slightly by slow service. Stormont Park opposite is great for fig walks albeit many of the locals seem to think that the ‘please keep dogs on leads’ signs do not apply to them.

Lovely hotel.

On arriving, we were waiting to check into the hotel for a good 5 minutes. Not one member of staff were around (even on the bar) to help us out. Eventually, the receptionist came back to the desk (after showing somebody around) and apologised for keeping us waiting. The room was quite as requested, huge and generally clean, however, we were ridiculously too hot the first night under the duvet, but too cold without it. The second night was fine as we had left the windows open all day. The hotel is in a great location to get into Belfast city itself, and if hiring a car, a super location to get around.

Accommodation Ok, but let down by the food.

Booked for one night stay as an anniversary occasion. Main purpose of visit was to see an ABBA Tribute Show. Show itself was ok. As regards the Hotel, food was disappointing. A buffet was provided for thos specifically wanting to eat earlier before the show, However there were only two choices of Mains provided, both spicy type curries. No alternative. Alcohol prices were a little on the expensive side, £38 for a bottle of ordinary Sauvignon Blanc and £7 for a pint of Lager. Breakfast was again, buffet style, choices of the usual cereal, porridge, sausage, bacon scrambled eggs, potato bread and soda bread but these were generally all on the cool side. Overall not what we expected from a renowned 4 Star hotel. On the plus side the beds were very comfy, room was clean and quiet, so we did get a good nights sleep.
