There was mould covering the bathroom. A hole in the bathroom floor covered by a mat and a strange, large mirror propped up opposite the shower head. The lights were hanging by bare cable in both the bedroom and the bathroom.
Dirty towels left on the back of my bedroom door.
The house smelled musty and looked dirty. The same for the bedroom.
There was a notice to say the kitchen couldn't be used for cooking.
Finally one of the owners/managers asked me to move my car because another guest wanted it.
only stayed one night out of 4 booked.

Excellent stay, Quite access to local park , Grocery store at the end of the road as well as a Chinese take away would I recommend this property for sure I stayed 4 nights
Exactly what I ordered. A cheap and cheerful accommodation in a house with four bedrooms. As reviewed by others and squeaky staircade was not ideal. My room very clean and comfortable. Bathroom showing signs of wear and tear but clean and good shower power. While no kettle etc in room the downstairs kitchen/breakfast room was accessible. Property bit out of city centre but well served by buses which took 10mins or less so convenient enough.
Great stay with easy self check in, very comfortable and room 3 has an ensuite that is quite nice. Bus to city center is a 5 minute walk away and there are a couple great walking parks in the area. Tesco, several resturants and great pubs all in walking distance too. An A rating.
I stayed here for about 18 days in July, the place was full but nobody was too noisy, and for the most part we barely ran into each other. There is a Tesco's just up the street if you need any groceries, and one of the entrances to the park is directly across the street for some nice morning walks. It's also close to some bus stops if you need transportation. All in all a wonderful stay.
Don’t go to Belfast when the President is visiting
The room itself was excellent. Spacious, bright and with a nice-ish view over the park. The bed was really comfortable and the shower efficient and responsive. It was on the top floor with a narrow staircase which made for awkward access with luggage. The house was very quiet although heavy rain drumming on the skylights made for some disruptions during the night. However it would be unfair to blame Belfast’s weather on the owners. It should have been excellent for public transport links to, had President Biden’s visit made the whole system collapse for us unimportant, ordinary folk.

OK, very noisy house, good kitchen & lounge
Good stay overall, check in smooth and check out. Good kitchen for food prep and lounge. Unfortunately, the floor, ceiling and steps are incredibly loud. Stayed several nights and on the weekend nights due to incredibly loud fellow residents talking, stamping around and using bathroom could not sleep till 2am. Not peaceful at night sadly and lets down an otherwise good stay.
The 223 Alexandra Place is a great place to rest your head when touring Belfast and the surrounding area. It was conveniently located next to a park and a Tesco, plus a few takeaways. We could hop on a bus and get into the City to start our journeys. Had the windows open and even with a festival going on, it was very quiet. We used the lounge and kitchen, so for us, it was a great stay.
We did have a shared bathroom, but we talked with the occupants of the other room, so everything was scheduled accordingly (there is also a bathroom downstairs).
Staff lovely. Glad we stayed!

This is a rooming house - call it what it is.
Don't be fooled by the ad, this is not a room in a house, it's a rooming house. Every door sticks, which leads to slamming doors every time anyone tries to close a door and there is no soundproofing between floors, so anyone on the floor above you sounds like they weigh 500lbs. Perhaps if the ad had been written in a more honest manner, we would have been less put off as the room itself wasn't terrible, but expecting to have shared bathroom etc. with homeowners is completely different than sharing with however many strangers are on your floor. Not the kind of surprise we were looking for at 2am when we arrived.
