Quirky old French coaching inn - lots of character
We have used this hotel for 4 years as a stopover on our way from England to the Vendee for our family summer holiday. If you are looking for 5* luxury with all mod cons you will be disappointed. If you want a small family run hotel in an old French coaching inn with a restuarant (which moves into the garden on a hot day) serving generous portions of well cooked Normandy cuisine this may be for you. The hotel has many original features and is clean and comfortable. In places the decor is a little tired round the edges, but this somehow adds to it's charm. A proper French experience.
A very good experience. The food was as good as one would expect in France - not cheap but excellent. The staff all did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Pretty village but well off the motorway adding to journey time to Calais Hotel built in 1688, public areas not changed much since! Bedroom and bathroom very nicely modernised. Unfortunate we were there on Sunday night and missed the restaurant and gardens
The Hotel was shabby and looked like it had not been decorated or refurbished for years. The wallpaper was hanging loose in some areas and the shower was mouldy with bare pipes exposed. The garden was unkept and the grass had not been cut. We could not log into wifi in the bedroom but was helped to log in it downstairs. The place needed completely refurbishing. The welcome could have been warmer.
Chambre confortable.
