The Hotel is a traditional Italian Hotel in terms of style and decor. Our room (201) was on the second floor and had a lovely view over the gardens, pool and local church. The small balcony was beneficial. (Note: many of the lake view rooms dont have a balcony) The room was very clean and spacious with a large bathroom which again was very clean. Pool area was great with extra sunbeds up in the gardens and despite going in the school holidays it always felt relaxed and quiet. There was never a rush for sunbeds and even when returning to the pool.afer a day out there were always spare sunbeds. Pool was 1.4m deep at both ends so perfect for bobbing about and to cool down. The Hotel is situated in an excellent location, only minutes from numerous restaurants and small quiet bars, and close to baveno port where regular boats can take to other towns on the lake for less than €5.00 We loved our 9 day stay at this hotel and would definitely reccomend a visit.

We have stayed at this 3 star hotel on previous occasions; the 3 course evening meal at 25 euros is excellent value and, moreover, is served at your table. This year Julia on reception spent a lot of time and effort in obtaining a refund of 204 euros for us from a taxi firm that failed to turn up at the airport. We were most grateful.

By the lake in Baveno

Nice hotel in a great location. Good breakfast options. Nice pool and terraces. Common areas upstairs a little tired but room fine if a little dated. Good value for money.

Reception staff were excellent , warm reception and informative. Lack of in room tea/coffee making facilities is not ideal and even budget hotels provide this,however both could be purchased at extra cost from the bar if required. Given this hotel has coach parties the high turn over was evident in my room the walls were scuffed and marked albeit the room being clean apart from the invisible cobwebs during daylight hours. would I stay here again , most certainly yes.

An absolutely amazing time at a great hotel.

We looked all over the area for the best place to stay within our budget. There are some very fancy high-end hotels that are available in Stresa and Baveno, but I have to say that we lucked out when we selected this one. The location is absolutely perfect: just steps from the ferry for Isole Borromee (Madre, Bella, Superiore) - and the view is even better of these islands from Baveno than Stresa. Now once you're here you'll be greeted with the friendliest and most helpful staff we encountered on our trip. Excellent suggestions on our itinerary and the best recommendations for some of the most amazing eating we did in Italy. The breakfast was included with the stay and while basic, it was very well presented and quite tasty. Our room was quite comfortable and much more spacious than we expected. We even extended our stay an extra day mostly due to the wonderful experience at this hotel. I will be back!

Convenient location is the main strength.

Beau Rivage is conveniently located to the middle of town, steps away from where to catch boats for excursions to other parts of the lake. The room is dated. Although the bathroom was actually nicely updated. The air conditioner was controlled from the desk (!) and for the first 3 days we had no control of the temperature until we figured out what was going on and complained. The beds were very old and very uncomfortable. I think the location makes up for most of those things tho. The food at the hotel restaurant is fair and probably one can do better by eating at one of the many restaurants steps away from the hotel. The staff was pleasant.

Excellent stay in Baveno

Hotel was excellent: kind and helpful personnel (especially the young lady at the reception), good breakfast, great outdoor pool and garden. Our room was greatly positioned: last floor, suite style with living and stairs to the main bed, huge balcony with breathtaking views of the Borromean Islands. Main downsize is the AC, old and extremely noisy, also the mini fridge is not working well. but all in all, excellent stay.
