Fabulous Place to Stay
Check-in was a very pleasant experience. The lady was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. All areas of the hotel were immaculate and the decor was very inviting. Our room was huge, and tastefully decorated. The hotel was very quiet. The breakfast was very good with many options. There was plenty of parking. The hotel was in a very safe area. I would definitely stay here again. I would also highly recommend Bar Harbor Grand Hotel to everyone.

This trip we stayed at nine hotels. By far the Grand at Bar Harbor was our favorite. From the nice staff, clean rooms with period decor and the most awesome breakfast we felt this was the best place we stayed and upon our return to Maine we will be staying there again!!

We had a such great stay here!! We loved the location. Very easy to walk to the downtown shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Everyone was very nice and helpful. It was nice to be able to make hot chocolate in the kitchen area before walking around during the cold evenings. They also had an ice machine, coffee, tea, silverware, and more, readily available as well. The rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel was quiet. We loved our stay in Bar Harbor and being 5 minutes from the entrance to Acadia. Also… free parking!!! We would definitely stay here again when we come back!!!

Such a great choice
This hotel was a great surprise! We stayed at several hotels/inns on our trip down the Maine Coast, and this was by far the best one. Great location so we could walk to everything in Bar Harbor. The room was spacious and felt updated. The beds were very comfortable, and it was really quiet, even with the hotel being fully booked. Never heard our neighbors. My husband also appreciated the ceiling fan in the room. We used the laundry room once during our stay. It’s $4.00 per load (washer + dryer), and the front desk can exchange cash for quarters. Just plan on doing small loads because we did a larger load and the clothes were not dry after one dryer cycle. We only ate the free breakfast once, and it was just ok. Nice that it’s offered at all, so I’m not complaining. Would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Only complaint is I thought I paid for a room with no stairs, I think I paid a little more for that, but was given a room with stairs and no elevator. I don’t see any way to confirm that now On Expedia though, so there’s no proof. Next time I will go around Expedia and straight to the hotel.

The property is in a great location and is walking distance to a variety of shops and dining. Loved the coffee shop across the street. Rooms were nice and beds very comfortable. My only complaint is that the building we were in did not have an elevator and we had to carry our large, heavy bags up a flight of stairs. If you were in the main building there was an elevator and you could also access our building on the 3rd floor through a breezeway.

Bar Harbor Grand Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience. The rooms were great, very comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast was not your typical “hotel” breakfast, the staff went above and beyond to keep the food well stocked and hot, all while being extremely friendly and happy! There were even fantastic bakery items available! The front desk staff were always available and a wealth of knowledge for touring the surrounding area. Parking was always available and the hotel is located right on the Main Street in Bar Harbor. I would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect place in downtown Bar Harbor. We got there early and the room was ready. The staff was happy to see us, efficient and very helpful. Breakfast was included and had a little bit of everything. The room and bathroom were clean and good size. Free parking on site. Lots of restaurants close by
