Welcome to Sugar Express!

This lovely four-bedroom home, Slopesider 10 in the Slopeside section, adjoins the slopes of Sugar Mountain, giving guests a real ski-out, ski-in experience. Watch the action on the slopes from the many windows of this round slope-side home. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort offers winter favorites such as skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. The resort transitions to mountain bike trails, chair lift rides, festivals, concerts, and more in the summer. You can walk the street or the slopes to access the lodge or golf club for every event offered during the winter and summer seasons. Search Sugar Mountain Ski Resort to see what is offered. Within 15 minutes of the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, Banner Elk Winery, and Sugar Mountain Public Golf Course, there are plenty of activities to experience while staying at Sugar Express. The town of Banner Elk is 10 minutes away, providing access to shopping and favorite local restaurants.

This thoughtfully outfitted home has appealing artwork and upscale furnishings throughout. The main level features an open space with a living area, kitchen, and dining space, while the lower level offers a sitting room next to the large windows and plenty of space to store mountain gear near the lower level entrance. Both levels overlook the mountain slopes and include big-screen TVs. Enjoy year-round mountain views from the seating around the fire pit. There is accommodating space for up to 10 guests in a main-level king master bedroom, a main-level king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room on the lower level. Each of the cozy rooms has a TV with paid programming.

Guests will have year-round comfort with central heating and air conditioning. There is a washer and dryer and wifi. Pets are not allowed. There is room for up to four cars - Please note that this home does sit directly on the slopes, making drift from the snow-making machines highly likely to cover the driveway during ski season. Please be prepared with 4-wheel drive vehicles and tire chains. Sugar Express has an outdoor camera facing the driveway and one at the back door facing the slopes.

We loved our stay and the home was perfect. Only reason we wont return are the fees that double the rate. Service and host fee? Come on... I should have read the details closer.

Total Success at Sugar Express!
Enjoyed 2 nights at Sugar Express to surprise our children and kick-off Christmas week. This house checked all of the boxes in every way. Great location, beautifully renovated and maintained, well appointed with everything you need to enjoy a ski in/ski out including a downstairs “drop zone” complete with boot warmers, plenty of hooks for jackets and bibs, rubber mats for boots and gear and a laundry room. Perfect for our family of 4. 2 days of real snow to boot made for an exciting white Christmas. We will return.

Family had a great time. Even if you don't ski it's a great show just watching. FYI if you bring beginners you'll need to be able to ski an intermediate hill to ski in (ski out is easy). Can't wait to do another trip here!

Absolutely Perfect
We travel to Sugar Mountain every year and this was by far the best stay we’ve ever had. The location couldn’t have been better - literally walked right onto the slopes. The house was meticulously clean, and the decor was just perfect. We can’t wait to come back!
