The hotel is ok, there was a cannabis smell in the whole place which bother me a lot not just for me but for my baby.
The “restaurant” is not open yet. Couches had no cushions with notes that said do not sit, cushions on the way. Continental breakfast was cereal & pop tarts. I had to go to the front desk to get coffee made. “City view” was a brick wall. The “closet” was a hanging rack, the “fridge” was a small fridge sitting in the middle of the room with the back off, so all wires etc were showing. Had to walk around the fridge to get to the mirror or desk. The bed slept horribly. Parking is nonexistent unless you want to spend your child’s college savings to park. Will absolutely never stay here again. I wish I could include the photos I took.
Our stay here was amazing.
The staff was friendly the rooms were updated and clean.

This was one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at. A lot of things were broken in the room. But me and son were just sleeping there and not in need of some things. It’s inner city Baltimore so the city is always alive. People sitting where ever they feel convenient and don’t move when asked excuse me.
Excellent location. Clean room, helpful staff and very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is an older hotel, and it's located right downtown. Very convenient to local sites. Neighborhood is crazy, just be aware of your surroundings. Room was clean, decent, and worn.
The room was sparse. Not modern clean lines sparse but devoid of thought or interest. No carpets or curtains or bedding, painted brick walls and painted floors made for one very cold room. It also happened to be at the end of the hall so large windows covered with bland plain window shades- the largest of which was unmoveable- even if it did open to look into an office building across the street, it would have been something to look at beyond the old blank white shade. Plus the room was freezing and i had to keep getting up overnight to increase the heat to finally get it to a tolerable temp. I know bedding has been skipped for cleanliness but with no textiles in the room and exposed brick walls there was no warmth. The front desk had no idea how to work the TV- even though the screen message was to call the desk. The continental breakfast was poor, the coffee and hot water and decaf were mislabeled. I finally mixed the two coffees figuring half caf was better than jitters. The $47 valet fee was a ripoff esp given the purported 15 minute wait for the car in the AM took 27 mins.

Quick shout out to the staff.
There are many ways by which this hotel might improve. I will forgo those critiques, and just share something positive. The bloke at the door, Brandon, was professional, courteous, and cool. What's good in the neighborhood? I got you man. Need a cart and parking for my colleague. I got you man. I would not recommend this hotel were it not for this gentleman. Hope the organization and those reading make a small note.
The location is perfect for walking to the Harbor and nice areas of Baltimore. The staff were really helpful and kind. The bed is so comfortable I would like to buy one of those, really! So: thank you for the lovely stay!
I don't normally leave a lot of reviews unless we have a really great experience or really bad experience. Our experience at the Sonesta Hotel was amazing. We traveled from Kentucky to Baltimore for our first Ravens home game. We arrived earlier than check in time. The young lady at the check in desk was wonderful!! She let us check in early and was very friendly and great to deal with. I had read several reviews staying the staff was not very friendly or helpful. Those guest must have been staying at a different hotel! Every single staff member at this hotel was very friendly, polite and helpful. We were greeted every time we entered the hotel or left the hotel. The young men working the night shift were extremely nice as well. Even the valet staff which we did not use was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and nice, as was our room. The hotel is within walking distance to several great restaurants, the Inner Harbor, and M&T Stadium. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for a great experience and for welcoming us to your city!!
