Specifically selected Doubletree because of Hilton reputation and because of airport shuttle. This was a last minute booking due to flight cancellation, so airport shuttle was imperative in choice. Hotel was 2.6 miles from airport. We waited 50 minutes for shuttle. Calling hotel directly to inquire about shuttle, we were hung up on, put in hold, snapped at, and rudely treated.
Reservation offered breakfast included for a fee, which we agreed to. However breakfast didn’t start until 6:30/AM and we were told we, in fact, did not get free breakfast, and that it couldn’t possibly be served before our 7AM shuttle.
After showing hotel receptionist our confirmation showing breakfast included, she was quite rude and dismissed us.
Because we needed to be on the 7 AM shuttle, we left without breakfast, having paid extra for it.
In all my years as a Hilton Honors member staying at many Hilton properties across the country, I have never been so poorly treated or so disappointed in the service.
I would NEVER recommend this property to any traveler.
