Staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. There are stairs to the second floor of the lodges, no elevator, so be aware if that's an issue for you. There is an on-site restaurant with lovely views over the lake and an outdoor deck that serves breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a self-serve buffet consisting of the usual sausages, scrambled eggs, potatoes, french toast, juice, toast and various unidentified cold cereals. Coffee and tea is served by the hostess

I was only there for one night, but wish it was longer. The cabin was very clean and spacious. Loved the deck to sit on and the view! The breakfast was declicious!

There were some issues with cleanliness of the bathroom that we noticed immediately upon check-in. When I let the front desk staff know the issue and requested someone clean it properly, it was implied that it was my own mess as they do not provide housekeeping for during a stay of more than one night. This qas irritating as i peraonally had checked with this same staff member less than 5 minutes before I made the complaint.The situation was rectified but the process in which it was completed left me feeling less than satisfied. Otherwise the room was nice and i very much enjoyed the outdoor space.

Rooms are everything you'd want in a hotel - clean, quiet, with super comfortable beds. There is a fridge but no microwave. Breakfast is not included in the stay and can be purchased in the restaurant overlooking the lake, with an option to sit outside on the deck. However, it's no better than the breakfasts that are included in other places - a self-serve buffet consisting of overcooked, dried scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, french toast and cold cereals. No hot oatmeal or yogurt, which was disappointing. More vegetarian options would be deeply appreciated! Coffee and tea is served by the hostess. The restaurant also serves dinner with several lovely menu items. Front desk staff are pleasant and helpful. I stayed here 40 years ago and was happy to come back for a second visit!

Beautiful view
Great location to start your trip on the Cabot Trail. The hotel is dated but is clean. Our room had a deck facing the lake that was perfect to watch the sun set. There is also laundry machines that are available 24 hrs.

We were placed in the basement which they call the 1st floor ? Why? It’s in the basement and stinks of mould and musty all the time. Everything is damp I mentioned we told them up front my husband has asthma. The guy was rude and said Expedia made your reservations not you. So we were stuck with it for two nights. Also dark and dinghy.. The waitresses were very nice. The property itself is lovely. But we had no view from our basement room. Wouldn’t stay there again. We booked two months in advance.

Beautiful views of the lake, dinner in their dining room with big picture window looking at the lake, was wonderful, loved my fish stew. The service was very good in dining room and at the front desk. However the first room they put us in had the noisiest ac ever, after we had lugged our suitcases up the stairs to get there. They put us in another smaller room, and had to lug our suitcases to another floor. The room was clean, bed linens and towels were nice. One of the two double beds was quite lumpy, and my husband did not sleep well because it sagged as well. The other bed was good.

Great spot to stay. The pool was awesome. Next time we'll stay for more than one night. When we visited the restaurant they were out of food, so we noted that we should go for dinner earlier next time.

We were pleasantly surprised by what a delightful experience the Silver Dart was. Loved sitting on the porch. The staff were amazing and the food in the restaurant was terrific as well.
