This modern studio is suitable for a quiet couple or professionals (like travel medical professionals or travel nurses) needing a place to stay for work and want to discover all that Austin has to offer. It's conveniently located just a few minutes from Highway 183 and the cross street is at Anderson Mill. Our guests love the short drive to The Domain where you can get some amazing food and entertainment!
Our home is situated in one of Austin's most beautiful neighborhoods, Balcones Estates. This is a quiet residential area with big funky looking mature trees, mid century modern homes and streets filled with joggers, cyclist, golf carts and tennis players. Our 450sq ft studio features a kitchenette with electric stove, exhaust fan (it fans out of the unit), pots, pans, cooking utensils, silverware, wine glasses, wine opener, small fridge. Separate water heater. Full bathroom.
Two friendly dogs live on the property. 12 year old Jack is a shih poo. And 3 year old Oliver is a Golden Retriever. If you’re not comfortable with dogs, we can keep them out of the way but would require some communication between us so it’s clear when the dogs are outside doing their business. It’s worked well in the past where I let you know they are outside or you let me know when you’re on your way back from being out.
Your dogs is allowed on a case by case basis. Professional poop pick up service weekly. No cats, sorry bad allergies.
We are available when you need us. We live on the property but our goal is to keep out of your way. Pool is not for guest use.

Spicewood at Balcones Estate is a stunning quiet residential neighborhood in the north side of Austin know for the excellent for the excellent schools and the golf course and club (Balcones Country Club). You'll see unique million dollar mid-century modern homes. There are walking trails & large mature trees. It feels like a nice suburb but is so close to everything you need! Whether you crave Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, or some famous Texas BBQ, it's only going to be a few mins away.
At night, it is very dark so please drive safely. We have a lit path to enter the studio.

For your stay, we'll place a temporary hold on your credit card as a security deposit. This hold is just a pre-authorization and will be released automatically within 2 days after check-out, as long as everything goes smoothly.
We also perform regular pest control to keep the space comfortable, but since we’re close to nature, you might occasionally encounter a critter or two. Thanks for your understanding!
To keep our home well-maintained and comfortable for every guest, we work with professional service providers. During your stay, you may notice them taking care of the following:
