Hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable. Needed more power points. Breakfast was cheap looking and overpriced at $40 also had to pay for coffee ontop of crazy price! I won’t get breakfast again.

Nice even if few things are annoying
The location is great. Rooms are confortables and quiet. Breakfast was good but when you charge 45 nz dollar per person the minimum would be to offer real cafe, cappuccino and hot chocolate. Here you only have filter coffee and if you want cappuccino or real coffee you have to pay NZ 10 dollar surcharge. It gives a bad image. At this price it should be included. Otherwise lifts are very long to arrive.

The hotel was generally good, comfortable, great location, had a wonderful view and there were restaurants everywhere near by. The hotel at the moment is going through some renovations which was noisy at times, I only wished the property advertised this on booking websites as quest payout good money not to listen to construction, saying that however, once the works are completed the hotel will be a wonderful place to stay while in Auckland

Great stay at the Sky Grand, lovely rooms and location is perfect for access to downtown Auckland. Skybus from the airport is right next door at Sky City just a 2min walk. Also only a ten minute walk to Britomart, viaduct, Commercial Bay and trains.

Wonderful stay at the Grand hotel
Had an amazing stay at the Grand hotel. Staff were extremely nice and attentive and the hotel's restaurant was one of the best i experienced (food and service). Definitely i will be back there and will recommend my friends.

Two Night Stay
I booked a two night stay and after we checked in, we planned to take a quick nap before dinner. Unfortunately we were given a room next to a lift that was doing maintenance with banging and drilling noises. I immediately requested a room transfer but was declined by the front desk, so I was offered some earplugs instead. Poor customer service on their part... The next morning we were woken up at 8am by more banging noise and again I complained and was offered to switch to another room immediately. My question was why didn't they offer the room transfer yesterday? The reason given to me was that the staff I spoke to yesterday was a trainee. Not a good excuse in my opinion! I decided to speak to the hotel manager face to face to expressed my disasatisfaction that how they have handle the matter poorly. Because my day was ruined, having to get up early, not able to rest well, pack my luggage and transfer to another room. After briefly discussing with the hotel manager, he finally agreed to offer me some restaurant credit for the remaining stay. I know it's not exactly his fault but unfortunately the incompetency of his staff has led to a poor experience for my stay.
