Here in the heart of Stanmore Bay, on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula we offer you a stylish, fresh spacious, and peaceful 2 bedroom apartment.
Short and longterm accommodation, is available.
A special oasis, that is the perfect choice for families with young children, and elderly, with easy parking, accessibility and ground floor living.
45mins from the airport (without rush hour) makes our place a wonderful start, and gateway to your New Zealand adventure, with lovely sites nearby.
Enjoy our gorgeous subtropical garden, and outdoor dining setting.
Get the bbq going, while the tuis sing sweetly in the pōhutukawa tree.
Relax inside in one of our super comfy hammock chairs or double hammocks, and enjoy a quiet moment, or get snug and cozy up on the couch with a movie on the 42" TV.
A 7min walk takes you through the park, with a great playground for the kids, to Stanmore Bay, a lovely family friendly, calm beach with pohutakawa trees overhanging.
Walk left in the park to head to the beach, or walk right takes you to the New World supermarket and shopping centre, very close, 5 mins to walk, 3mins to drive.
We offer you the opportunity to bring your pets with you.
However we do ask that you please take full responsibility for all their home and garden maintenance!
Shakespear regional park is 14mins away at the end of the peninsula, and well worth an outing. A bird sanctuary that looks across to Auckland's centre, while you are completely immersed in the bush, with lovely views of the harbour.
At Gulf Harbour there is an Auckland ferry, that runs weekdays and takes you to the central city, as well as ferry trips to TiriTiri Matangi island are available, a stunning island day adventure.
Peaceful Oasis has a retreat feeling, and we offer private yoga classes, deeply relaxing massage, and nourishing workshops.
We also hire out the space (on a separate hourly basis) for special events, retreats, meetings and classes.
The garage has been transformed into a dance and art studio.
While this is not included in your stay, it may be requested for your special event, and workshops of this nature with a separate booking fee.
This house is a private home, divided into two separate apartments.
The north facing, and sunny front area of the house is the guest apartment, and Louise is generally onsite to help if necessary, and lives in the back apartment of the house which has its own separate entrance.

The house showcases Louise Taylor Art and Interiors. The artwork is for sale, so please let us know if something interests you.
We love our mayan silk hammocks and recliner hammock chairs.
However if hammocks are not your thing, we can easily take them down.
Park directly in the driveway & come in the front entrance.
We have 2x queen beds, 1x single bed, large walk in wardrobe/storage, plus ensuite bathroom, kitchen, dining, living, garden and deck area, and more floor mattresses are available if needed.
The queen beds and the single bed are good quality beds & very different comfort.
The one in the master bedroom is an Innature organic latex and wool mattress, the single bed is a Sleep System pocket springs, and the other queen bed is a pillow top Sierra 2 pocket spring mattress.
Please choose your comfort and let us know which bed you prefer.
There are 2x foam mattresses for extra guests & 1x portacot.
Please note there is only one bathroom which is the ensuite inside the master bedroom. The other bedroom also has to use to this one bathroom.
The large linen/hot water cupboard is located in the dining area with modern washing machine available only for guests.
The kitchen is complete with juicer and a Kangen water filter offering good quality filter, that takes out impurities & changes the structure of the water to spring water.

Louise’s place
Louise could not have been more welcoming and gracious. She has a beautifully decorated home - with her own paintings on the walls - in a fantastic location: Short walk to grocery store, Stanmore Bay Beach, and restaurants. Checking in was clear and easy (key in lockbox). A memorable stay for us.

Peaceful holiday in an art gallery and bird sanctuary
We truly appreciate the artistic decor of the house and peaceful ambience of the garden. Location is superb - short drive to beaches and Shakespear Regional Park. Walking distance to supermarkets and shops. Host is amazingly helpful and friendly. We definitely will come back for our next holiday.
