The hotel is very dated, the restaurant was closed, which we were not aware of. We were told a few days prior that a car park was not available & we would be notified if one became available. We were not notified but there was one on the day. There was a smell on the floor we were staying, which was not pleasant. We had a few issues with things in the room that were resolved. The room layout is not ideal for using hairdryer etc, as power points are not close to the mirror & there is no dresser.

Enjoyed our stay, secure parking garage beneath the hotel was great, we just left the car there and walked around the city, mini mart right over the road for groceries and snacks, didn't mind that there was no on site restaurant, we just had breakfast in the room which had a kitchenette and fridge and ate out for lunch and dinner. Elliot Stables just on the other side of Aotea square was a great place for dinner. Beds were comfy and the shower was good, a little bit of street noise but that's to be expected when you're staying in the city, wasn't an issue.

Situated in an attractive part of central Auckland within 4 mins walk of Karangahape RD. Parking extra and not suitable for long or large vehicles. Restaurant not operating and breakfast very basic ‘in room’ toast n cereals. Rooms tired and not particularly clean. Beds comfy.

High class limited facilities
This is a comfortable and top hotel in a residential district. It differs from having no facilities and only room breakfast available. It is situated very conveniently for the Aeota centre but not much else. The area around was residential and whilst one always feels safe in NZ was a little edgy. Nearest food available was fast food 10 mins. In fairness 30 mins took you to the main CBD beside the sky tower. Would not use again as expensive for what it offered me but if you want a good quality room above all else it’s perfect.

A great hotel, the rooms are beautiful, the location is perfect (for anyone with kids there is a playground right behind the hotel), there's also an outdoor swimming pool & a hot tub. I will always stay at Parkside Hotel - it's my favourite hotel.

Just stayed here last night and wasn’t overly impressed. Chromecast wouldn’t work in our room, in room phone also wasn’t working. The cord for kettle wasn’t long enough to plug into the wall plug in the kitchen which seemed odd. Room seemed pretty outdated in general. We did find parking great next door at just $8 for 24 hours and the bed was comfy!
