Overall, it was really clean and very central to Auckland, and I had only a few very specific nitpicks. Grand Millennium is a bit old-fashioned for my taste. They are renovating floor by floor and had not gotten to the 11th yet, so all the trim and decor was pretty dated. Staff were friendly and helpful, although the concierge mostly just used google maps to recommend places upon request, which I could do myself. I wish that the junior suite had a desk or even an outlet anywhere near the table; I had to do work in the lobby.

The room was very clean and nice. I went down to the gym and spa they also were in great shape and very nice. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I really appreciated the onsite carpark garage, it could use more lighting that is my only critique.

The staff with very rude and inconsiderate. I had an ex-boyfriend turn up and invited and he was allowed up to the room and knocked on the door. I couldn’t believe that he was allowed out there without any notice to me. We were apparently upgraded to another room for the inconvenience the next night but it was of no better quality. My friend was staying with didn’t stay the next night and I was scared to leave the hotel meaning I have very little options for food. I had to eat off the night room service menu which was really limited and expensive. I thought it would be the least I could do to offer this as a gesture of the apologies on behalf of the hotel. They were interested
