Apartment was spacious and had well thought out facilities to make your visit comfortable. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, walk-in robe, cooking facilities, etc. Chocolates and water in a welcome bag on arrival - very nice.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The harbour view was beautiful and worth the little bit extra, loved the balcony. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. And you can’t beat the location downtown!

We had a great stay in a harbour view room. The suite was spacious and comfortable and we loved having use of the pool, spa and gym. Plenty of eating nearby and an easy walk to public transport. We seriously couldn’t fault our stay here!

Helpful front desk staff who were very patient. Rooms were beautiful. Worth it to request a city view room on a high floor. The lap pool was nice too. Not really for kids though. It is for adults doing laps.

The check in staff was very nice and helpful. The room was fine, but the shelves in the bathroom had not been cleaned. The room seemed a bit dated as well. It was a fine stay for one night but I would probably not stay again if I were to return to the area for a longer trip.

This was my second stay at the Avani Metropolis. I had a different room configuration on a different floor. Though I really like the location, the apartment style rooms, the great views, and the facilities, I must give only 3/3.5 stars. The building is about 25-30 years old and there has been very little updating or significant maintenance to the rooms and facilities. The paint is chipped everywhere, the carpets are old, the joinery and appliances are old and cheap. The place needs a renovation. It's a mid-price hotel and needs to do better. Why waste such a great location and building on running down the interiors to squeak another dollar in margin? You will have to reduce prices to fill the rooms creating a customer service death spiral. Spend the money and give customers a better experience.

Fabulous place . Central , spacious, pool, gym, lovely big balcony with view, great value for money . New favorite place to stay in the city. The only negative would be that the room we had wasn’t serviced which is fine but when we asked for more towels, toilet papers and coffee … they charged us for two coffee pods …

Great location at edge of Albert Park bordering on all the bars and restaurants in the CBD. Easy access to the Unis and the city fun. My room had a great view over the harbour, a seating/tv area, a kitchenette (including a fridge, freezer, kettle, dishwasher, microwave, and two electric burners + a washer and dryer). There was also a small dining table, and both a bath and shower in the bathroom. My only wish was a more comfortable bed.

We reserved a king bed with balcony..none were available..we got a 2 bedroom with a queen on the 30th floor with a great view of the sky tower and city...so it was even...didnt like tbe owners had both closets as lock offs...so nowhere to put clothes...luckily we had the 2nd bedroom for our suitcases...staff were very helpfull...location was great...in all our experience was very good.

The room is like an apartment with great view and everything you need as if you were at home. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's also a laundry and dryer machine. Perfect for short or longer stays. The building has a big swimming pool, jacuzzi and even a sauna. The gym is also well equipped. The hotel is very well located near plenty of restaurants. Highly recommend it!

It’s the second time our little whanau has stayed at Avani. Gorgeous harbour view and tidy room. Very handy to the CBD and easy to organise parking and a cot. The pool facilities are awesome and staff so kind. We could hear doors shutting and people talking in the hallway and could hear sound down below in the middle of the night even though on the 24th floor. Acknowledging that, we’d absolutely stay here again.
