The ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and patient but I couldn't give five stars to the staff because of housekeeping. Honestly, I have stayed at this property a few times and have never experienced anything like this stay. Upon my arrival, I pushed the door open to the shower, showered and when I reached for the handle to get out I saw a used dry washcloth (used by a prior guest). I was disgusted and totally grossed out. They sent housekeeping to come clean the room so I had to get dressed and go downstairs until they were done. The mirror over the sink wasn't working so we had no task lighting to utilize doing hair, makeup, brush teeth etc. Maintenance said he would come back the next day to repair but did not. Upon checking out we were given free parking for our trouble.

Overall my stays were good . The staff was friendly and helpful. The only minor issues were the room could have been cleaned a little better. The carpet had stains , also I prepaid for parking and my key didn’t allow access in and out of the parking lot so I paid $30 the first day . Then I was told the keys aren”t working for thre parking lot and I had call support at the gate each time I was entering and exiting .

I have stayed at the Kimpton Overland every time I've visited Atlanta and it was always a very nice stay which is why I continued to return. This past time was extremely different I the worse way! I got in late so once I checked in all I wanted to do was shower and lay down. I called housekeeping to receive some towels, sheets, and a blanket. I have OCD pretty bad so I never sleep in the bedding that is on hotel beds or trust the towels that are already in the room. It took over an hour for me to receive the towels and sheets but no blanket. I was told that they were out. Next day in the morning I went down to the front desk and showed them a picture of the toilet in the room that I was in. (I was on the second floor directly next to the GM’s room). The toilet seat was significantly smaller than the toilet which left me having to sit on the base of the toilet when I use the restroom which is gross. At the time Charles and another young lady was at the front desk. Charles was so dismissive and I didn’t care for his energy. The young lady apologized and as I was talking to her an older thin lady with glasses and short hair walked up and was very apologetic as well. They sent a guy up to fix it but the new toilet seat he had brought up was too small as well so he said they’ll just change my room. I was moved to room 330 and once settled I asked for a blanket again, no blankets. There was way more but not enough characters...

LAYOVER in Atlanta
Check in was excellent, Room was very nice but needs a deep clean, desk drawer and window sills had lots of dust and the desk was showing lots of wear and tear. We paid 400 dollars for this room I would have expected a bit more. Ice machines are scarce. The rooftop bar is AMAZING. Shuttle was excellent.

Excellent customer service by front desk staff, hotel was very clean, room was very comfortable and new. The only thing I didn't like was the parking arrangement. It's not NYC where parking is limited and at a premium, Kimpton has a lot with ample parking for guests. Also, when leaving after checking out, I had to call support 4 times before someone answered and let me out of the lot.
