Functional heating for room during sub-zero weather. And staff who don’t resent you for asking for a replacement heater that actually worked.
Air con was broken, and a known long-term fault apparently. Replacement electric heater (already in the room), was both pathetic (tiny) and not fit-for-purpose, as not on thermostat so could not be run unattended overnight. When asked, staff told me that the air con was broken, then told me it wasn’t, then were obviously displeased when I asked for suitable alternative. I was polite throughout, and expected a consistent and constructive response- I was treated like an annoyance. And all this in the absence of a properly maintained room.
In addition, the ‘non smoking’ bedroom stank of cigarettes, the bath plug was broken, and lots of black mould around window and bath.
I did not complain about these other issues, due to the unsympathetic response when I discussed the heating. What’s the point.
Everything else was lovely.
