Book for the holidays❄️
Sit cozy by the fire🔥
Have you ever said, “I’ve always wanted to spend the holidays🌲 in a log cabin with my family” now you can at Island Time Log House. Relax upon arrival, because you’ll be on Island Time. A destination all in itself. Reconnect with nature in this log cabin built from the property highlighting some of the island’s natural elements. Island Time Log House is the definition of old but new; with an emphasis on rustic, romantic, relaxing, & refined.
The space
Island Time Log House was built in 2001 and recently restored to it’s beautiful original splendor in 2023. We are on 5 acres and the log house and property takes up about an acre of that, so we’re around all the time if anything extra is needed or anything happens, but have the log house separated enough you have privacy and feel you’re on your own in the forest🌲.
The log house’s main floor consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, a large master bedroom with a king bed, which continues to a walk thru closet containing an antique makeup vanity (amazing for photography sessions) and matching antique dresser into the master bathroom with a walk-in shower and clawfoot soaker tub, downstairs next to the master there is an additional room in which we have doubled as an office/bunkbed room with a desk and a bunkbed. What’s really cool about this room is we’ve put up a big map and every guest that checks in gets a pin to place on the map to share with us all where everyone has been from that’s stayed at Island Time Log House. Upstairs you’ll find 2 more large bedrooms each with a queen bed both with large walk-in closets, and an additional full bathroom with shower/tub combo. Each room is decorated a bit differently to highlight Vancouver Island and Canada and to just make it fun.
In the back yard we’ve custom built a picnic table to fit all 8 people very comfortably to all sit together for a nice backyard barbecue. While the meats on the grill play some horseshoes, or wander around the yard checking out nature’s creations, when dinners done, sit around the fire pit on the custom log benches or relax in the restored adirondacks. With room for all 8 to sit around the fire roasting marshmallows, staring at the stars, breathing in the fresh island air, what better way to make memories to cherish a lifetime.
Guest access
Upon arrival to Island Time, guests have over an acre to frolic about and relax enjoying the sounds of nature whether it be the birds frogs or water running in creek nearby. When outdoor fires are permitted there is also a fire pit for guests to use and some firewood provided. At this time guests have access to main level and upstairs. Guests access property via a private driveway off a residential dead end road with multiple parking spots or trailer parking if needed. Access to home is through a smart lock in which code will be provided prior to arrival.
