Great Overnight Stay
We had a lovely big room with all the facilities we could have wished for, including a mini fridge and in room safe. Lovely evening meal and a fantastic breakfast. Would definitely book again.

Second stay at this excellent hotel situated perfectly for travelling around Cumbria . Room was comfortable and staff very attentive . Breakfast was very good and overall a hotel to keep in mind if in this area .

Lovely stay,breakfast was lovely,room was lovely,bathroom stunning but what let it down was it was cold at night and in morning,no heating on to warm up your room,such a shame

Had an evening meal and overnight stay for hubby's birthday. Good food, friendly staff and welcoming for doggy. A good atmosphere and interaction with other guests who we discovered are regulars. A short pleasant walk into the village, though we arrived in the evening so it was very quiet.

The property is good and being a listed building limits the owner on what he can di with respect to windows . Therefore the road noise at the front of the building was an issue for us. The booking company we used Expedia did not inform the owner of our choice of a garden facing room so they spoilt our stay. The staff were excellent and we would stay again

Overnight stay on way to Scotland
The Inn is very quirky, being extremely old. The staff were very attentive. Everything was just perfect and the food in the restaurant was really good. Staff at breakfast were really efficient and again the food was superb.
