The room and the portions of the building that I actually saw were clean and in good repair. The bed was comfortable. The microwave and refrigerator were helpful features. One complaint I have is that it wasn't made clear that a $50 refundable deposit would be required. Also, "breakfast" was continental, another fact that wasn't made clear in the room description. It included cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and bananas, but no hot food. Also, I would have expected in-room coffee and an ice bucket, but those weren't offered either. At the end of the day, I did get a good night's sleep and the facility is of a decent quality, so I guess I don't have much to complain about.

Main problem: appearance doesn’t look safe; interior similar to a Super 8; poorly trained front desk; ridiculous breakfast; no courtesy one hour late check out because the room was booked through Expedia. We wanted to visit University of Michigan after Christmas. Nice in the front of the hotel, we just got the feeling this place may be a shady outfit, making us feel uncomfortable. We checked in on the evening of 12/26. Was not told and explained about a per room incidental included in the room charged. Though the incidentals would be removed once the room checked out, I had to get it clarified by a different staff member in the morning. The interior of the hotel was clean but looked so cheap I would have stayed at Super 8 and saved. Everything we saw screamed “cheap”. Shower weak, bathroom exhaust fan super noisy. Shower noise from the wall can keep everyone awake. Breakfast selection was just a joke. Can’t even describe what was there. And there was 4-5 toddlers roaming the breakfast room like it’s their private play ground. Then came the icing on the cake. I requested check out at 12. The woman told me “check out time was at 11”. I told her I was a Hilton silver member and said “can I get a break?” The answer was “you don’t get to enjoy the member courtesy” when you booked through a third party”. That’s it. With so many choices on the road. I don’t need to use Expedia and Hilton again.

Staff was great. Bed was comfortable. The facility felt "cheap". Walls way too thin. I could hear and understand my neighbors conversations from the surrounding rooms and the hallway. Also, I felt like I was walking on unstable plywood floors on the second floor hallway.
