Family-friendly Suite w/private entrance

Our desire is to create a country feeling in the middle of the city. Our "urban farm" includes chickens, bees and vegetable gardens along with beautiful seasonal flowers. You have the best of two worlds when staying at Gardenside B&B... your own private 710 square foot space (it really is ALL yours) where you can actually spread out and make yourself at home and at the same time have the opportunity to tap into the local attractions and offerings provided by your local hosts. How sweet is that?
There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a DVD player is provided for your entertainment. The bathroom has a shower and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a phone, as well as a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Great space for working team
A co-worker and I stayed here for three nights. It was a great space where we each had enough area to spread out. The fresh eggs and the bread were great unexpected additions. Also enjoyed sitting in the back yard at night. Very clean and well stocked. Host was very accommodating when we needed to add an extra night. We’d definitely stay here again. *note - probably not a good space for someone with mobility issues as there are about 10 outside steps to walk down to get to door. No problem for us, but can how it might be for others.

Awesome place! Heather welcomes you to her property to relax and enjoy on her lovely gardens. I even picked raspberries to go on my homemade granola. Very relaxing place!

Nice stay with great amenities
Perfect first night in Alaska, Heather accommodated our crazy flight time. The home had everything we needed: fresh eggs, delicious homemade bread, coffee. Home is very clean but a bit further from downtown than I had hoped. It was an easy drive but would have been a long walk.

The friendliest B&B in Anchorage!
My husband and I along with our two adult children just arrived home from our stay at the Gardenside B&B in Anchorage. We had taken a week long Alaskan cruise previous to our stay and were so delighted when we arrived to such a warm welcome from Heather and Doug. Our oldest daughter lives in Anchorage so we wanted to stay at a location that was close to her apartment and downtown. We were able to walk or bike (thank you for allowing us the use of all 3 bikes!) to both areas. Heather and Doug are two of the nicest people and took wonderful care of us! This B&B is so comfortable and homey! We were delighted to partake in their farm fresh eggs, homemade bread, home grown Kona coffee and much more! On our last evening Doug made a fire for us in their fire pit so we could make s'mores and had a wonderful conversation with a new friend of theirs who had just come back from a trip to Denali (this will be a site to visit on our next trip) . We will definitely be staying at this location when we return for future visits! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Pleasant and relaxing
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. the breakfast food was delicious. Heather was so very kind and generous helping us in planning our trip with her recommendations. Ate at Humpy's and the Moose Tooth while in Anchorage. Both had very good food and wait staff. Nice trail very close to VRBO
