Positives- great reception area, staff were extremely helpful, modern, room comes with a fridge, room was clean, nice big bed. Negatives - paid for the WOW room however that was not my reaction when walking into the room - paid a lot of money and out of the 19 floors I only get 13 and my view was the train tracks(hear it all night)! There was no above rooftops as stated on the room description.room had aircon however you cannot control the fan speed.had it on 18 however felt like it was on super low at 26 degrees.I would be sweating in bed.You get two bed side tables however don’t expect to use them as it has a chunky iPad brick holder and on the other has a massive brick radio/speaker which took the only power plug on that side of the bed - having to unplug and move it to a different spot in the room.Every morning I got woken up by the sun beaming into the room as the Facade/black out blinds was broken - couldn’t open/close on the iPad. Dont bother going down to the vending machines - just a massive scam - nearly 4euros for one small little can of soft drink! Just go over to the small shop next door and get a drink there, would be cheaper and better worth for money. If you are a male and you shave - don’t stay here! The sink has no hot water and there is little to no lighting very dull. Room was not done at all! Big chucks of the wall was missing, walls weren’t even painted!When laying in bed you see all marks and stains. You will also get a sore neck from the brick pillow

I overall enjoyed the stay at Ruby Emma in Amsterdam. It is off center about 15 minutes away by train. It is 3 minutes walk to the train station. There is a convenient store nearby and McDonal across the street. I was on 15th fl and I could hear the train coming and going. The sound proof is not quite ideal; I could hear the music was on late at night during weekend. Other than that, I was happy with other things they could possibly offer.
