You will be charmed by this tastefully decorated 1 bedroom apartment (located on the 1st floor of the townhouse, there is one apartment per floor). La Maison des Cochers is a 18thC townhouse, combining old and new styles for (what we believe is) a tasteful result. We have paid particular attention to the confort of our guests when choosing such essential elements as the beds and furnitures.
A covered private parking place at 50 meters from the house is available with this apartment.
Located on a quiet portion of the pedestrianized main street (rue Nationale). Within easy walking distance from everything that makes Amboise an excellent holiday town.
- Historical sites: 13th C St Denis church, Royal Amboise castle, home to François 1er and other kings of France, the Clos Lucé, last residence of Leonardo da Vinci and historical old town center streets.

Lovely Apartment and Stay in Ambroise
My husband and I spent a week in La Maison des Cochers (1st floor apartment) in November. The apartment is lovely and had everything needed. The bedroom is in the back of the property- so cozy and quiet! The owner, Pascale was very helpful throughout our stay. The apartment’s excellent location is on a pedestrian street full of shops and restaurants, close to the Chateau and the apartment’s parking spot. We recommend staying here.

Perfect in every way.
The location, the accommodation and particularly the host were all ideal. The host, Pascale, was amazing! She picked up up from the train, oriented us to the surrounding, demonstrated all aspects and facilities in the apartment, including the washer/dryer, which would have been tricky since we do not understand French. We particularly liked that the toilet, with a little sink, was in a separate area from the shower and two separated sinks, each with a vanity, mirror and large drawer. The apartment was tastefully decorated, with lovely linens and adorable artistic touches. The location was right in the center of a pedestrian district, so it was quiet and conveniently just a short walk from all the main sights and the Tourist office which was the meeting point for our private guided tours and the hot air ballon ride. It far exceeded our expectations and we could not have been more pleased with our stay.

Week in Amboise
Pascals was a most gracious host. She met us in a car park and directed us to our parking space across from our apartment. The apartment was just as advertised. Very spacious for 2 people and had everything you would need for your stay. The location can’t be beat. You are on a pedestrian street within easy walking distance to all restaurants and attractions. Even though you are on a Main Street in town, the apartment is very quiet. Pascale reached out to us daily to make sure we didn’t need anything. If you are traveling to the Loire valley, Amboise is a good hub for your trip and don’t hesitate to stay with Pascale. You won’t be disappointed!

Great location!

Adventure in Amboise
We were met by Pasquale on arrival and taken directly to our private parking spot a few steps from the apartment with easy access and exit for exploring the area. Visiting the chateaux in the area were easily accessible. The apartment is ideally situated on Rue Nationale which is pedestrian only. It is close to restaurants, specialty bakery ,butcher, cheese and produce shops. There are also lots of boutiques. Pasquale’s apartment is very roomy and tastefully decorated. Absolutely perfect for a couple, Apartment was beautifully done and immaculately clean, comfy bed!, convenient free parking walk out your front door to on a pedestrian street with individual shops, butcher, baker, restaurants, sweets, merchandise (not tourist junk)This is a real town and you will love the market and castle. Our host, Pascale, met us at the train station and gave us a ride to the apartment (and a ride back to the station the day we left). Wonderful building built in 1789, and beautifully remodeled inside. The apartment is quite spacious. Great location near restaurants, the Castle and a short walk to da Vinci's last home.

Spacious, comfortable apartment in an ideal location for walking to Chauteaux Amboise, Clos Luce, market, restaurants and shops. The bakery just across the street has great bread and croissants. The apartment is meticulously spotless, well equipped and Pascal, the owner, is just lovely. A parking space nearby made it easy to come and go when we wanted to...which wasn't a lot since we enjoyed Amboise so much. Restaurants we enjoyed: le 36 ...for our special anniversary dinner. L'Epecerie..nice 3 course menu. Chez Bruno. Good food although the entire dining room was only English speakers. Cafe Artistes? On Rue National. Delicious beef you cook yourself on a hot stone. At Pause du Temp a couple of doors down from the apartment was very charming. Le Patio was attractive but we weren't too impressed by the food. And don't miss hot chocolate at Patesserie Gigot...amazing! The Sunday market was overwhelming! Everything from mattresses to live eels! Don't think twice about renting this apartment..you won't be sorry!

Fabulous Rental in the Heart of Amboise
This is a lovely rental right in the middle of the shopping and restaurant district of Amboise. Just walk out your door and you have boulangeries, the best coffee shops, fine delicatessens and gourmet shops right there. The Chateau d' Amboise is just a few blocks away. The rental is beautifully decorated. All of the appliances and fixtures in the bathroom and kitchen are top of the line. There is also a washing machine/dryer. The bed is large and comfortable with luxury linens. The apartment is very clean. Even though it is located in the heart of the town, it is very quiet at night. Best of all, the owner, Pascale, is charming and helpful. We love this rental and highly recommend it!

Comfortable apartment in a great location.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Maison des Cochers. Pascale was a very welcoming and helpful host, providing useful local information to help us settle in quickly. The apartment is clean and well maintained, with comfortable furniture and a well equipped kitchen, which we used to prepare all our evening meals. The washer dryer was also very useful and of better quality than you find in most holiday apartments. The location is excellent, being right in the historic town and a very short walk to shops and all the town's attractions. The parking place was much appreciated as the town can be very busy, though our street was generally quiet and mostly closed to traffic during the day. We felt that Amboise was an ideal base to explore the Loire Valley, being a small centrally located town, which provides all services without the big city traffic of somewhere like Tours, where you waste a lot of time getting in and out of the town.
